Car hire for a day?

We stay on site & visit US overnight by taxi and have never hired a car. Thinking of hiring one for a day to go shopping. How easy would this be? Would it be worth it? Can you get a car at Disney?

you can get a car at the Disney Car Care Centre, I picked one up last summer from there, the cool thing is as well, is that if you are staying at a Disney resort, you just call the car care centre from the front desk and a mini bus will come to collect you and take you to pick the car up free of charge

I booked with USrentacar and got a pretty good price for 10 days hire. I would like to hire one for a couple of days when we go in December, but not sure if it will be worth it or not
