Which is the best web site to hire a car
Last time we were able to walk past the desk and just pick up the car in car park at the airport but can't remember how I done this

I have to sort car hire out for our oct trip! Thanks for the reminder

We've just booked with Hertz (over the phone) for a car for our trip in April and got a price we're very happy with.

used to use usrentacar but there prices were high this year used Netflights this year
Paul

I use Dollar with their Express service, its free and allows to bypass the main desk. Used it again again this month, great service.
2nd car collected from Thrifty(still Dollar cars) booked via Netflights, used main desk but no line.

Post your dates, size of car & best price you have, I will look for any better deals.

So do I !!!

I got a great price last year ( thanks Wayne ) but looking now the prices seem really high.

Its probably me doing something wrong....

Alamo through uscarhire, you get to pick your car from the garage in your class.

If you are an AA member, it is worth looking at Hertz - you get a 10% discount, and I have found they came out the cheapest when I was checking prices due to the discount. Not sure what they are like for picking up the car in Orlando - anybody know?

Like everything car hire has gone up :sad2: Think we are paying an extra £50 for the same car/same number of days for September than we did in May :scared1:

Im still looking at netflights with cash back via quidco as there is some glitch where its cheaper to get the platinum insurance so price goes down, i think wayne noticed it a while ago

We rang Hertz last night as we'd had a letter from the AA saying it was 20% discount, although the website was showing 10%. Hertz gave us more discount over the phone - making it an even better deal.

DH has Hertz No1 Club membership and we just walk straight out of the airport up to the Hertz cars (first floor I think) and there's an electronic display board that has names on and bay numbers. We go straight to the bay number against our name. Dead easy!

We used Netflights again this year, via Quidco, of course :thumbsup2 Once we had selected our car, Netflights were doing a deal to get the Platinum rate for just £1.04 more! So, we went with that! Absolute bargain seeing as they wanted an extra £50 last year! lol Not sure if that offer is still going on, but we didnt do it that long ago - perhaps a few weeks ago?

Hertz have an offer on US hire at the moment giving 20% discount, plus 10% Quidco cashback, it if should help anyone http://www.quidco.com/hertz-uk/

We've just compared the price that Hertz gave us over the phone with a price on the above website and even taking into account the cashback, the price we got over the phone was better.
