Car hire credit card question

One of our group doesnt have a credit card,and has booked a car (alamo) will he be able to use a fairfx card instead of a cc??? and do you know how much if any, will be taken from the card at mco?

They wont accept Fairfx as it isnt a credit card or debit card.

How has he paid?

I got mine through Virgin Holidays prepaid with a debit card for the platinum package and didnt have a problem, but if you havent prepaid I think you will have a problem, they will see it as a cash hire and will want something like $500 cash as well as the rental price. You then dont get the money back until you return as a US cheque which is difficult to deal with!

We used our fairfx card for car hire last year no problems! We only put $500 on it and only used it for car hire.... until last day and withdrew cash from atm.

We dont have a credit card and just say that, we also get the highest insurance as well and never had a problem in 9 years of going over there

We don't have a cc and always take platinum ins. Never had a problem. They do take fairfx cards as it has a MasterCard symbol on it!

most people can get a capital one cc really easy and after your holiday just get him to cut it up
