Car Hire- BUDGET pre-registration???

I have the link for the Budget pre-registration site, which, I believe, will allow me to bypass the counters at the Airport and go directly to the Budget parking garage. My question is, how do I use the Budget pre-registration site if I have not already paid online for my car hire. The main Budget site does not allow me to pay for car hire online, it only gives the option to pay at the rental desk on arrival. Queueing for the rental desk is precisely what I'm trying to avoid!

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I used budget in January. I have to say they were the best cars that I have rented in a long time!
Any how - we paid for the car hire in Orlando (when you return the car). I did see the pre registered line, it was in the multi story garage where you collect your car from, but the queue was long (2 or 3 groups and only 1 person working) and moving slowly.

We went to the Budget desk in the terminal (there was only 1 other person infront of us - and this was 30th Dec a realitivly busy time) Was out within 5 minutes-got to the garage to collect the car and there was a seperate queue to pick your keys up ( we stood in line for less than 1 minute before we had the keys)

I usually sign up for anything that can get me out of the airport faster but it was really so fast on this occasion with budget that I dont think I will even sign up for it when I use them again next Jan.

But I'm still perplexed as to how I would use the pre-registration facility if I wanted to. You can only use it by entering your confirmation number from your prepaid voucher, and it's impossible to get a prepaid voucher if Budget won't let you prepay for your car hire online. Anyone else help me out on this one?

Can't see how you can use pre-reg without pre-paying. Pre-reg is a service set up specifically for that service.
How about joining Fastbreak, I don't know much about it, I registered thinking it might save doing Pre-reg every rental but it doesn't, Fastbreak can't be married with a Pre-pay(I don't think). Yeah, this is my conundrum Wayne. If the pre-reg system requires you to have prepaid for your car rental, surely it must logically follow that there is some way to prepay for your car rental. Yet when I try to book a car rental on their main site, there is NO way to prepay for the rental. It makes no sense to me at all, would just love for someone to tell me how I go about booking a car with Budget, and paying for it online at the time of booking. I know you have personally used this pre-reg service in the past, so how did you do it fella?

Never dealt direct with any rental company, I know some do but I have never found a deal direct. Both times I have used Budget I have gone thru USrentacar.co.uk but many others sell them(list below).
Just checked prices for a random 2 weeks next month(1st-15th) full size car.
Budget.co.uk £418 (+$126 local to add DW)
USrentacar £262 incl extra driver (£312 incl tank of gas + upto 4 drivers)
