Car Hire, around 20% discount using App

eBookers have an offer on car hire if you book with their App rather than online. Supposed to be 10% off but I just got near 20%.

Is the best price with USrentacar? how does it compare with that?
I read the cancellation fee as £20 but have to be honest I didn't study it too hard as I have no intentions of cancelling, spent long enough looking for a deal on this rental.
Budget seem to be showing best prices on a lot of sites, glad I found a deal with Alamo, don't like Budget at all.

The best I had found was with USRentacar at £331 so this would be a £60 saving on that. Can't see that we would need to cancel, TBH so not worried about cancellation charges. More worried about it including all the insurances etc. that we need.

Just booked using the Ebookers app. Had a bit of a brainwave and accessed Ebookers through the Quidco app. Still got the discounted price but have also got £16.14 cashback tracked through Quidco too so (assuming cashback gets paid) I have actually saved £74

Brilliant, never knew Quidco had an App. Not a big user of my phone, looks like I need to use it more.

I actually didn't expect it to work but thought I'd give it a go. Was very pleased to see it had tracked less than half an hour later

I notice your booking includes additional driver - is it Alamo that includes this as standard?
I am torn between a midsize SUV which I am not sure will fit our luggage (£318)
Or a minivan which will cost substantially more (£485) but will be comfortable

Additional driver is under Car Rate excludes:
Only way to get free additional driver is to book Alamo Brits deal.

How many of you travelling? Upto 4 should be OK in SUV, 5 then maybe minivan would be better.

Thanks so much for the heads up Wayne and Wilma-bride! I'm not going until the end of November but just tried my dates and got Dollar for £277 when I hadnt found it for less than £320 before and going through Quidco I've got £16.65 cashback!!

There are 5 of us for one week, from airport, so I think I will have to bite the bullet with the increased cost of a minivan. the prices just seen so much more than I have paid previously
