does anyone know the cost per day to enter the grounds if you are driving your own vehicle? Also if they have a weekly pass?

It's $20 a day to park. Once you pay for the day, you can go to other parks without paying. They don't have a weekly pass that I know of.

$20 for a car. Pay once a day to park even if you park hop. Free parking if you have AP's. There is no weekly pass

You didn't mention if you were staying on property at a Disney resort. If so, it's free to park.

Yes, free if you are staying at a Disney hotel, $20 per day if you are staying off site.

I've heard some people will get an AP for one member of the family to get free parking, memory maker, and the 10% discount on Merch, (sometimes TIW as well). The cost analysis can make it worth it just depends on how much Merch you plan to buy.

EDIT to correct my math: Cheapest pass is $750 (ish) (child's pass). 7 days of parking is only $140. Memory Maker is $100. Child's 7 day park hopper ticket is $420 So basically, you'd need to spend $1100 in merchandise on your trip, to make up the other $110 cost.

Likely worth it for someone who's taking more than one trip in a year. Or are big spenders.

This would only work for someone who's traveling a few times a year. Cheapest pass is $750 (ish). 7 days of parking is only $140. Memory Maker is only $100? So basically, you'd need to spend $5000 in merchandise on your trip, to make up the other $500 cost

I think you left out the fact that they wouldn't be buying park tickets, so it's not quite as bad as it sounds.

Yup, I did. So, 7 day child pass (which is the AP price I used) is $350. So they'd have to spend $1600 on merchandise to make it worthwhile. I'm sure some people do spend that much.

An adult 7 day hopper is $467.54. So it wouldn't take much in the way of discounts to make up the difference for the AP cost. And if OP was planning to make it an annual trip, they'd just need to return before the 12 months is up and then they've come out ahead.

Yes but if you go more than once you come out way ahead. I wouldn't buy a pass just for one trip to get free parking - that doesn't make any sense.

I quoted the child's AP cost, not adult. But yes, as I said, if they make multiple trips a year, it'd be beneficial.

Now add in the fact that the AP Holder can buy a TIW card. If the family is there for a week or more and dines at several signatures, more savings can be added in. We had a $500 (pre-discount) dinner at California Grill and almost made back the cost of the card in one night. After that, we were racking up savings.

What is a TIW card?
