Car Care Center/Shuttle

We've decided to rent a car for part of our time at Disney. We're staying at the Port Orleans Riverside. From previous posts it sounds like there is a shuttle. I assume it both picks you up when you want to get the car and drops you back off when you return?

I wondered if anyone can tell me what they think of the shuttle. Is it prompt and generally available (the whole point of getting a car is to save some time)?

I can't help you with the shuttle after dropping the car, but I can for getting the car. I rented a car for our August trip. The front desk at AKL connected me with the shuttle the day before. My pickup was sheduled for 1:15. The driver was there a little early. We also made a stop at All-Star Sports and another resort. It took about 45 mins to get to the car care center. The shuttle driver was great.

We rented at the airport, but returned it at the car care center. Just dropped it off, walked out front and the shuttle took us back to the resort immediately. Very easy!

I picked up a car from the airport and then returned it to the Car Care Center. It worked out great! The shuttle driver dropped me off at the Magic Kingdom (as I requested) instead of my resort. I don't recall waiting very long.

I rented from the car care center in January. I got on the shuttle at SSR, it stopped at POFQ and PORS, and then took me to the car care center. Got on the shuttle at 10:20, and was back at SSR with the car by 11 am.
