Capture your moment - grad photos

On our last visit to WDW, we hired a Disney photographer for a family photoshoot which was done at the AKL. During this session, we were able to have our son's high school grad photos taken (which turned out WONDERFULLY!)

We were hoping to do that again on this trip for our daughter and her grad photos. Unfortunately, they no longer have this available and told me to use the "capture your moment" sessions at the parks.

My question is, do we get to choose where we want to have the photos taken or do they have set spots in each park that they use? My daughter wanted them done in the Animal Kingdom, but doesn't want them to look like a family vacation picture. She wanted more of the greenery or out-of-the-way backdrops vs the tree of life or things that scream "I'm at Disney" (if that makes sense).

Otherwise, does anyone have some suggestions for other locations at Animal Kingdom where we could take our own photos? I'm a graphic artist by trade and have a pretty good sense of composition... I just need some "out of the way" ideas for locations to use.

I know she wants the AK as the backdrop, but are there other places in the other parks that someone else has used that turned out nice for the backdrops for Senior photos? I have seen the archways around Cinderella Castle that look interesting. I'm just looking for an assortment of locations to choose from without spending days and bringing multiple outfits for different days.

We did a capt your moment at Animal Kingdom. They did ask me if I had any requests. We did some in front of tree of life, and in archways in front of flowers etc.
So they may have some usual spots, but do take requests. You just have to realize if you have to travel to a far off spot, you'll have less time for photos, as it's only a limited time

Thanks! I don't mind if I have to pay for a couple of sessions to get the right photo. She just wants a really nice "nature style" shot without looking like a family vacation photo.

I did a session at Animal Kingdom for my birthday. I opted for the first slot of the day. I had wanted Pandora, but they said that is very difficult because of the crowds. So I gave them free range. We did some in Africa, some around the Tree of Life - especially around the back on those trails, and Asia. There was a second CM with us to assist - and if necessary to redirect people around and make sure they knew that my photographer wasn't a photopass photographer. They were awesome shots. with all due respect, most of the CMs that take pictures have no decent background on photography. The photos are basically snapshots taken with an entry level DSLR on auto mode. underexpose, overexposed, out of focus, etc...

If you are ok with snapshots, go for it. however, I have to warn you so you know what you will be getting. I would hate for you to be disappointed since this is a special occasion. Good luck.

Having talked with them extensively, the ones assigned to Capture Your Moment are their more experienced photographers.

See above. Those are better than regular "snapshots".

Thanks to technology, the average Joe can snap a pic and have it look decent.

These are some we did, just to give you an idea.. Most were done around and behind the tree of life. That said, we got some great pictures in Italy at Epcot.

I realize this is an old thread but my son had his senior pics done last week at Epcot and they turned out great. It was more than I expected with the time constraints and our photographer was great.

They really do a wonderful job and there are so many interesting places to photograph. His pictures turned out great!
