:wizard: We're down to our last 2 ADRs and were wondering about the Captain's Grille. The menu looks pretty good. Any first hand experiences with this restaurant? Also, can you order the Captain's Grille Experience if you're on the regular dining plan?

It is on the DDP.

Our Ratings of Captains Grille:

. . . food quality: B
. . . food quantity per serving: C
. . . food prep speed: B
. . . food selection: C
. . . seating quantity: C
. . . seating comfort: B

. . . eatery convenience: B
. . . staff friendliness: B

NOTE: The food at Captain's Grille is well above average
and quite tasty, but pretty expensive for what your are getting.
At 25%-30% less cost, or so, it would be well worth the price.
We are fond of the New York Strip and the Rosemary Pork
Chop. The Gelato for dessert is a good cap for the meal. It
should be noted that the noise level is inconsistent, as the CM's
don't try to quiet unruly children or adults. Plus, with such easy
access from Epcot, some guests are dressed inappropriately in
park clothes, which can reduce the experience of the eatery.

We have eaten there and enjoyed it. In a nutshell; good food and good service in a nice atmosphere.

IMHO it's one of the better deluxe resort 1TS credit restaurants along with the Grand Floridian Cafe or Kona Cafe.

We ate there last summer and really enjoyed it. It's not as crowded as other restaurants, so was a nice quiet retreat away from the crowded parks. The food was really good. We will definitely eat there again.

captain's grille is our favorite 1TS meal. my fiance said to quit raving about it on here or we'll never get a reservation :lmao:

:goodvibes That pretty much sums up almost every restaurant, lower the price 30% and it would actually be worth it.

We enjoy the Captains grille and have decent meals there. I too enjoy the fact that its easily accesible from Epcot but not inside the park. Luckily I haven't had issues with noise there.

We went to Captain's Grille on our recent trip in January and I LOVED it! We used the DDP and I thought it was one of our better meals... If nothing else I would tell you to stay outside the parks for dinner because we found the best meals were at the resorts!!

I took a million pictures of food as well as everything else while we were there... if you have a second you might wanna check it out!

We ate there for the first time last month and loved it! We will return - good food and great service.

We had breakfasts and dinner there. The food was good for all of the meals. No complaints about noise or dress. We never found it that busy when we were there Thanksgiving week.
I say if the menu looks good to you, go for it.

Good to read these opinions, as we will be there next month for lunch for the first time. Suggestions?

I was able to order the Captain's Grille Experience last year on the dining plan. We were staying at BCV and decided not to go to the parks one night so we switched our ADR to eat here. We all really enjoyed our meals, this year we're staying at YC so I was thinking about maybe dropping our Coral Reef ADR to go back there again. I love the aquariam at CR but my fish was way overcooked last year.
