Captain's Grille

My experience with the Captain's Grille was a pleasant surprise. Our first visit to the CG was in January of 09. We decided for our first night we wanted to hang around our resort (YC), walk around the Boardwalk and eat nearby. We hesitantly made an ADR and enjoyed it. It is mildly themed at best and is fairly quite. I went back again this past Christmas and enjoyed it a second time.

Thank you goofy4prez, I just finished reading your kind words about YC (I don't understand why people state YC is a stuffy place...what makes a place stuffy anyway). Did you eat dinner? Since we are staying at YC December we will eat here probably breakfast and at least once for dinner.
Glad to know this place is good. ;)

Pooh & OurHunny; you are welcome. I guess everyone has their personal tastes to resorts, I guess I just like a bit quieter when I'm in the resort. The parks and restaurants are noisy enough for me.

We did eat dinner once each time in our last two visits. I like it because it is a quiet and not heavily themed restaurant. I have eaten the NY Strip the first time and the snow crab legs the second; both meals I enjoyed. As for breakfast, I am not a big breakfast eater and being in concierge we just go with what is served in the lounge. I did notice you have a young son and next door is Cape May in the BC that has a character dining breakfast buffet. The character interaction is very good and they do take their time from table to table. However, I found the food to be typical breakfast buffet food. This is the only breakfast we have ever eaten in WDW. But then again, as I said, I'm not a big breakfast eater. I hope you and your family have a great time in WDW, you are going to love it in December. :thumbsup2

I enjoyed out dinner there in Sept 09. Two of us had the crab legs and my DH had the steak. We were there kind of late, so it was really quiet. I already have ADR's to go there in August.

Thank you goofy4prez, we have taken our son to Cape May and he loved it and will take him there December. We love breakfast food. I can't wait to try the snow crabs. Thanks again
