Trying to find a restaurant for dinner. It is just me and my BF
Looking for something close to Epcot/Hollywood Studios but not in the park.

We are staying at the POP and want something that will be within a 10 minute drive of our resort

Any suggestions?

Thanks

We really loved it (pics in my April link). We chose it because we were staying at the YC and it was great location wise. The salads and entrees and cocktails were fantastic. Nice quiet place with great service!

We thought it was quite decent and, at least early in the evening, we didn't require an ADR (6:00 pm during the last week of April, 2008). We will return, I am sure. It is not signature dining, but it was a nice place to have a table service dinner when we didn't feel like leaving the resort area.

If you could chose, would you pick Captain's Grille or Cape May Clambake? Since they're both at the BC/YC, we wanted to try one of them..heading towards Clambake though.

Have eaten there once and had good food and very good service. Would definitely return.

A dissenting voice here - food's so subjective so take this with a grain of salt. We didn't like either Captain's Grille or Cape May Clambake. I agree that service was very good at Captain's Grille but we really didn't like what we ate and were disappointed. I would recommend you go over to the Boardwalk - it's lots of fun and there are several places to eat. Anyway, enjoy! :goodvibes

I liked it. Very low key especially for lunch pretty good food and like a PP said, unpretentious. We considered going back but felt like we needed to make sure to try new things so only Le Cellier and Narcoossee's got repeated, this was going to be the third thing repeated if we did though but Les Chefs de France won out.

Thanks for all the advice. :hippie:

I think we are going to book it...if we can!

The Crescent Lake area has so many options, you really can't go wrong. We've "winged it" at various times of year, including the week before Easter (major crowds!) and came out very happy.

Don't forget- the Swan and Dolphin offer many dining options not on the ADR system. Even on Easter week, even during a major convention, we were able to get into their restaurants without too much trouble. We've also eaten at several Disney venues on Crescent Lake without too much advance notice, including the Yachtsman and Captain's Grille.

Don't get caught in the "gotta plan everything 6 mos out" trap. Particularly in this area with so many quality choices.

Tough one! We love both but I would pick Cape May because there are alot more choices and DH loves littleneck clams.
