Take the podcast with a grain of salt, so to speak. Many of us have had fantastic meals there. The podcast is one persons opinion of one meal. On previous discussions of this topic, there have been more positves then negatives. For me, I will dine there again. I thouroghly enjoyed my meal there, and found it (foodwise, not service) to be on par with signature dining.

We did the menu breakfast there and it was good, the buffet breakfast was not good at all.

Dinner was incredible, pics in my April link. The best salads and the most amazing pork chop I ever had

My son and I went there last March and had a delicious meal! We especially enjoyed the spinach cheese dip. We asked about the recipe and the chef came out to our table and gave it to us!!

We considered this the worst overall meal we had the entire trip last April. I have decided we will probably never eat there again. The server we had was not very good (to be truthful he was awful). The food was fine. The manger was too busy with large parties to discuss our service issues - that was the final nail in the locations coffin. Other tables seemed to have much better service.

I had a decent meal there last Dec..nothing incredible...just okay. So, when I needed someplace to eat, with 7 of us, and only my dh, dd and myself having park passes, I needed to find a resort restaurant, with fairly normal food. So, Captain's Grill is was. Hopefully it will be fine a week from tomorrow. I'll be sure to report back when we get home. I'm pretty sure it won't be as good as our dinner at Coral Reef 6 hrs later though!!

We ate there at the beginning of August and enjoyed it. My nephew's prime rib was a little underdone for him and they happily corrected it. The server kept coming back to make sure everything was okay. Great desserts! I'd give it a try. Different people, different opinions.

We just returned from at stay at BCV and dined at CG using DDP. We thought the food was excellent! I had the baked scallops and let me tell you I wanted to like the casserole dish they came in!:lmao: We also notice the Manager walking through the dining area and asking guests how everything was going. Maybe they have addresses the service issues. They were however, the one restaurant that had smoothies on the menu, but didn't offer them as drink option on DDP( unlike Le Cellier, Kona). We will definitely dine there again.

We ate there last week on the DDP. It was good. It's no Le Cellier, and we won't hurry to make it back there and go out of our way to eat there, but it was good enough that if we were in the area and needed a place for dinner we'd go back.

Ate there last Friday night, we had the prime rib and I thought it was fantastic. DD had the toffee cheesecake for desert and she said it was marvelous. Service was wonderful and we plan on returning in October.

We won't go until we've heard that they have a new manager. I can't believe how badly he handled the situation with Kevin & John.
