Captain Marvins

We definitely want to do Captain Marvin's as we did their trip on our honeymoon and it truly was an wonderful experience.

We want to take the 3 hour trip that starts at 10:00 a.m. with check in at 9:15 a.m. Is this possible? I believe that if you do not book through DCL, you will not be able to take the first couple of tenders.

Has anyone done the 3 hour 10:00 a.m. trip? Is it a mad rush to get there?

We did Captain Marvins on the 3/27-4/3 Magic. I booked it on my own (did the 3 hour 1/2 day tour same as you're planning). Went down to get our tender tickets and it was no problem. Not many people that earlier. We were off the Magic by 8, and went to a little bakery, just past Captain Marvin's shop and got some croissants. As long as your whole party is there, you can pick up tickets and get off the boat. Captain Marvin's was the greatest. The 1/2 day tour went to the coral gardens and the reef, then stingray bar. Hope you have a great time.

Powderqn: Thanks for the information. What time do you think we should go down to get the tender?

We will definitely go with the 10:00 a.m. trip now. My children cannot wait to do this trip since they watch our honeymoon tape of it all the time.

We went in July and it was not a problem getting off the boat, even with excursions leaving around the same time. Too bad I can't say the same for the Celebrity. Their lines to return to the ship were amazingly long.

As eye RN stated 8:30 to 9 am should be fine. The confirmation we received from Capt Marvins asked that we get to their shop an sign in/pay by 9:15. As they have several boats going out at the same time, they put you on shuttle busses after you pay (or you wait outside their shop, if the busses are in transit). When you get to the dock in West Bay, they tell you which boat to go on. You'll love it...it was one of our highlights.
