We pretty much have out dining down pat. The only question that I have is Captain Jack's. Does anyone have any feed back?

We ate there a few times, years ago and enjoyed it very much. The setting is beautiful, especially when the sun is shining.
On our last few trips, we have not gone. The menu now, does not really appeal to us. It also gets consistently bad reviews here on the DIS. I am sure others who have been more recently will chime in.

My DW and I have enjoyed Capt. Jack's several times. The menu has changed quite a bit the last couple of years, and a few items have been removed.

I would still definitely suggest it for lunch, and you'll enjoy the view. Be sure to have their clam chowder and strawberry Margarita... even if you don't have anything else.

Over the years, it's probably had the least positive reviews- though there have been some - of any restaurant at WDW, and the most pans.

Having said that, the more recent reviews seem to be better, so whatever the problems may be, sounds like they're being addressed.

One thing you almost certainly won't have to worry about is crowds. Maybe it's the location, off in a corner of the Marketplace, or the innocuous name, but the place just doesn't get much interest.

If the company is putting money into upgrades, the location seems like a prime candidate for a makeover of some sort. A bit more "flash & sizzle".

We have tried it 3 times most recently last May and it was still just as awful as it was the first time. This is a place we have put on our will never eat there again list mind you this is the only place in Disney to ever make that list.

Service is terrible and slow. The food is just ok and that is giving it too much. :headache:

I will be the voice of dissention here. The only good thing about it was the location. We said we were glad the dining plan was free because we wouldn't have wanted to pay to eat there. But, opinions vary and I usually try a place once myself before I make any opionions. ;)

We haven't been back there for a couple of years, but we have had several meals there and we were never disappointed with our meal. Things do change though. We would always make a reservation there on the night we knew we were spending the evening at DTD. We would have a good meal there and then shop a little.

Went there 3 years ago. Two words - Hated it. Bad food, bad service and bad table, the bad trifecta. Our least favorite after H & V
