I loved Captain EO as a kid but now it's not as good, they should have kept Honey I Shrunk The Audience. So hopefully it's coming back or something completely new comes there.

Didnt captain eo feel very epcot to you guys? It was space and futuistic adventure it felt like it empowered the Essenece of Epcot

I think that it does. It's definitely dated but I feel that there are so few attractions of "old Epcot" left that this is some nice nostalgia. Certainly, people would definitely enjoy having Horizons or World of Motion back or the original Imagination pavilion, but since this is pretty much the last bastion of 80's Epcot, I'll take it.

Plus, you can beat MJ and 20 minutes in an air conditioned theater. I'd rather sit through this 3x in a row than Hall of Presidents once.

I was never an MJ fan. I skipped EO in the 80s and will skip it if it's there in two years. I agree that HISTA was outdated. The new generation does not know it. But I don't know that MJ is any more relevant to them. Hopefully they find something good to put there that is like HISTA but more up to date.

Honestly I'd much rather see a reworked Magic Journeys. I always thought that fit the theme better than either EO or HISTA. Make it 4D and pair it with a return to the old Imagination play area and ride.

Must be before I started going because I don't remember that. However, taking something old and making it new again could work. But just taking something old and running it with no improvements is a waste.

I would rather skip MJ, but I agree with you on the Hall of Presidents. I am a history buff and even majored in history in college. Yet I cannot stand to sit through the Hall of Presidents. I don't know how that attraction pulls so many people.

I will not subject my kids to EO....we will walk by it and not think twice about it....didn't enjoy it when I saw it when it first opened, won't enjoy it anymore now....

It closed early in 1986 and is what EO replaced. There wasn't a story exactly. Instead it was a 3D trip through the imaginations of a group of children. If I remember right there was little or no spoken dialogue.

I agree that it would need a major update. Mostly I'd be happy if they even just kept the theme. To me neither EO nor HISTA really screamed imagination to me.

Well, Journey to Imagination is right now themed to the senses. How about something coming in the theater next door that appeals to emotions and learning about all of them? Could Disney use Inside Out? I feel like that might make some sense there... Maybe?
