Captain Cook's Rehab?????

Has anyone heard that Captain Cook's was going to be under rehab in August??? Say it ain't so!!!

Sorry, it's so. May 20-mid Sept. according to Tikiman. We are going in June and have requested Fiji, quite the hike to the temp location by the arcade!

We'll be at Poly this June. Will Captain Cook's be closed then or just moved to a different location? If closed, does it mean the only place to get a burger = Kona Cafe? No other "casual" dining option at the Poly this summer?

We didn't get the meal plan and only made a few ADR's because we just grab quick things to eat...Is this the counter service place at the poly? At least we're staying conceirge this time so won't have to worry about breakfast.

I for one am sick of the constant construction at the Poly. Last time we were there (May 04), portions of the GCH and the longhouse right behind it were boarded off. It really took away from the magic.

We are booked for the last week of August. With Captain Cook's closed/moved, I suspect we will be looking at more brown boards in the GCH.

I was willing to "excuse our appearance" the first time, but not a second. I can't believe I am saying this, but we may change to a different resort for our up coming trip.

The no hot tub issue is why we have never stayed at the Poly. I realize it is unimportant for alot of people, but my husband really enjoys relaxing in a hot tub after a long day at the parks.
