Day 13 -Thursday May 18th.
The plane for today .. Sod all
.
Woke up about 10am - had a lie in!! I had something strange for breakfast , well I liked it, we had bought a couple of days earlier in Wal-Mart some fajita wraps, sour cream and hot sauce. As I didnt want cereal I had these 3 mixed together - was bloody lovely!! Lol. At about 11am or so we went down the pool for a nice swim and a tan - by this time, we were nearing the end of the holiday and my tan was coming along quite nicely lol. Hours went by and we were still sat there - think we were there a total of 6hrs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And it was mega hot too. After that delightful restful afternoon we got ready dried off and ready to go off to EPCOT. We arrived there at about 6pm , perfect timing , it wasnt too busy. I had heard so much on the internet about something called the boardwalk , I really hadnt a clue what to expect!!! - and I really wanted to go, so after much persuasion we went to it, found our way out at the international gateway - well when we walked through there, OMG! I didnt know it existed - it was fantastic, so picturesque! (big word lol). Had a nice stroll along the beach - looked at the hotels etc, gosh how the other half live eh!! The sun was setting , I wish I had my camera!! But it was on the blink again!! We walked around the lake and eventually got to where the shops and food was , saw the ESPN bar ect. really enjoyed walking around there, cant believe I hadnt seen it before!!!!!!! It was so nice, because one minute your in a theme park in the hustle and bustle and then the next - your not??? It was fantastic!!!!!! We made our way from there and back into the park - , by this time we were very hungry!! And as it was getting near to the end of the hol - we wanted Harry Ramsdens, a wee bit homesick! I just had chips - which were great, reminded me off home. We sat at the back of the Rose and Crown (what a lovely looking restaurant (8-5-06, watch this space lol). The view from there looking over the World showcase Lagoon was fantastic - with the last of the sun just going - I was in heaven!! Nothing else mattered lol. Heres a picture wasnt taken today but it was taken at the beginning of the holiday.
We didnt really fancy hanging around for Illuminations - so we decided just to have a walk around the world , then go back home.. Bought a lovely CD in US - Disneys 50th anniversary CD, love it! It was now dark and the crowds were building for illuminations - so we made a run for it and left the park. Headed on back to the hotel for another lazy/early evening. It was a perfect day today , my sort of day - resting lol!! Boardwalk was fantastic, Chips were fantastic, and the sitting by the pool was relaxing and refreshing.
Tomorrow - Day 14 - Friday May 19th (penultimate day)
