Capt Jacks or Wolfgang Pucks for DH & I?

If DH & I get a night in DTD (and what nights are NOT full of action there?), where should we dine?
I LOVE lobster tails (which Jacks have)
We did NOT like our one experience at Spago, but have enjoyed Pucks other restaurants...
looking for your opinions!

Are you going to be on the DDP??? I can't personally speak for Jack's, but Wolfgang Puck upstairs is awesome. It's not on the DDP, but is so good we are going there this year anyways (1st time we will be on DDP) I've also heard really good things about downstairs and the menu looks great.

I can't tell you where to find the best one, but I can tell you we were extremely disappointed with Captain Jacks. The lobster was terrible and the multiple cockroach sitings set us over the edge. YICK!

You may want to try somewhere like Fulton's, Narcoosee's, Shula's, or Blue Zoo for lobster (of those only Narcoosee's is on the DDP). I'm sure there will be other opinions on which of those is the best.

Pucks Grand Cafe IS on DDP--just not upstairs in the dining room...go figure.

Yeah no kidding....I swear its been consuming my life!!
I would try downstairs of Wolfgang Puck's. The menu looks really good, and I've read some great reviews on it. Do a search on it. I actually wanted to try it this year, but my Dad is insistent on upstairs (which is fine with me too) Oh the decisions!! The other thing you could do is Narcoosee's for your lobster, which is 2 TS credits, then pay for Wolfgang Puck upstairs out of pocket. The portions were a good size and it wasn't outrageous. We are actually paying OOP for a couple meals bc the Mother's Day brunch and CA Grill are each 2TS. You figure you're only paying $40 for an entire day of food, and I think we'll still end up saving $$

We ate at Jack's & it was not good. I'm surprised they're still open!I would definitely say Puck's- I would eat at Puck's express before eating at Jack's again & I LOVE seafood.

If you want seafood, Fulton's was worth every penny we spent!

I've got to support Cap'n Jacks. We ate there on the Dining Plan and it was our best value during our stay. My DW and I thought the shrimp cocktail was the best we've ever had (cold, fresh, firm shrimp with just the right tangy sauce) and the Maryland crab cakes were also fantastic (best again). I had the twin lobster tails (at $31.99 they just about paid for the entire day on the DP by themselves) which were perfect and DW had the shrimp pasta which she loved. Our DD9 had the kids fried shrimp and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Then we had the chocolate lava cake for dessert and it was more than we could handle! We had a great water view table and really enjoyed the theming. I don't know what it is that people don't like about Cap'n Jacks.

If you want lobster and you're on the DP, give it a try. It's still WDW and it's better than Mickey D's or Denny's or a Waffle House!!!

(By the way, we do LOVE Fulton's Crab House but it's not on the dining plan...the lobster bisque is to die for!)
