Cap'n Jacks?

I don't hear too much about this restaurant - any opinions??

We just got Free Dining and this is the only DTD restaurant available on it

We haven't been in the last two trips but before that this was our destination dinning place for when we were in downtown disney shopping. I have never had a bad meal there and the wait staff was allways very friendly. We allways got a window seat where we could watch the watercraft. I would go back with an open mind.

Went recently and enjoyed it, Had a seat overlloking the water.
I was suprised because there were many bad threads about it.

Cap'n Jacks reviews

I'll be posting my review of our family's meal at Cap'n Jacks tomorrow. Bottom line: not one of our top 3 meals of the week, but we liked it fine and would go there again if we were in the Downtown Disney area.

We ate there last year and already have our ADR to go back this Sept.

The crab cake appitizer was really good as was the twin lobster tails. My kids had eaten before we arrived so I don't know how the kids meals were, but I really enjoyed our dinner there.

We were there 2 weeks ago and it was absolutely terrific! I kind of warned my family that the restaurant receives many "so-so" reviews, but we went anyway b/c my all love seafood and it now takes ADRs. The night we went they were turning away anyone who didn't have ADRs. We asked for a table by the window and they said it would be a bit longer of a wait....we were seated within 10 or 15 minutes. The view was really lovely. We were so pleased because the food was wonderful....especially the crab cake appetizer, the twin lobster tails, and the spinach and artichoke dip. Our server was the BEST of our trip. I believe her name is Adrian. My family continues to rave about her. I asked for the manager when we were leaving, because I wanted them to know how great she was. All in all, it was one of my favorite meals of our trip, and most of my family says it was their best of all.

My family was on the dining plan so we all got lobster tails and had such a great experience. It was so delicious that we almost canceled one of our other meals to go back.

We almost did the same thing!! My family can't wait to go back to Cap'n Jacks; too bad we can't afford another trip yet!!
