Cape May or Chef Mickey's?

I have reservations for both Cape may and Chef Mickey's for breakfast. I know most of you will say Chef Mickey's. But, the time I got for Cape May, 7:30 vs. Chef Mickey at 10:30 works best for us and my daughter loves Minnie Mouse. She said she would rather see Minnie than Mickey. When I called to cancel chef Mickey's, the reservationist said I should think about it because Chef Mickey's is hard to get and that Minnie was there too.

Am I really missing out if I don't go to Chef Mickey's? Is Minnie really there? Which place would give my daughter the most time with Minnie?

I'm one of the few that would pick Cape May over CM's any day. CM's is just too busy and loud. We really enjoyed our visit to Cape May Cafe this past September. It was not as "busy" and the characters spent a lot of time at the tables. And the food was good too.

I saw Minnie at Chef Mickeys and I think she is still there. The food is probably better at Cape May, but I prefer chef mickeys because of the fun atmosphere. If your looking for great food quality, I would go to Cape May, but if you think your kids would enjoy the "party" atmosphere, go to Chef Mickeys.

Cape May is over rated (in my opinion). If you are only going to do one then do Chef Mickeys. Chef Mickey's is much more enjoyable for kids (again in my opinion) and it is easier to get to using the bus system.

Aww she would love CM!!! I love it!! The breakfast is soooo good! Minnie is there too!

We enjoy Cape May very much. Lots of choices, and nice atmosphere.

I agree with you 100 %.... we went to tboth. HATED Cpe May and LOVED Chef Mickey's!!

It is just a matter of opinion as I think the food is good at both......so tough decision for you.. I have not done Chef Mickey's for years and when we did my daughters liked it. I have not done breakfast at Cape May for a while either, so I really cannot give you up to date opinions.. I do like the All American buffet at night though at Cape May's.

Hopefully you will get more opinions and it will help in your decision. I do know that Chef Mickey's is a tough one to get, but if the time works better for you at Cape May and Minnie is there as well, I might go with the time that works better. JMO

Minnie has always been at Chef Mickey's and the few times my family and I went there we had a great time, because they make it a very fun atmosphere for all their guests.

I think Cape May will be better it is smaller quiter and you kids will get more interaction with the characters. I am NOT a fan of character meals but Cape May does a good job.

I would do Cape May over Chef Mickey's anyday!! The characters have more time with the guests and plus they are wearing their swimsuits. It is too cute:) I think the foood is about the same quality at either place.

What park are you planning to go to that day, and where are you staying? Do you have your own car or are you planning on using Disney transportation? If you are having problems deciding between the 2, then I would let the timing and logistics dicatate where you go. IMO, they are both good (although I have only tried Chef Mickey's at dinner, not breakfast). Cape May is more relaxed and very good for breakfast. The character interaction there is good, but you don't get Mickey. That being said, if you aren't staying in the Epcot area or don't have your own car, Cape May isn't very convenient at that time of day unless you want to take a cab. Chef Mickey's would be fine at 10:30 if you are planning an MK day, otherwise not so great. Good luck!

Chef Mickey's is a chaotic place. Very loud, very rushed atmosphere. Cape May was nice and quiet. Minnie actually sat down and drew with my kids. Selection is smaller at Cape May (seemed that way anyway) but it was so much nicer just having a calm breakfast before going into the bustle of the parks. Breakfast at Chef Mickey's is exhausting.

We are staying at CBR. We don't mind taking a cab. The only day I could get Chef Mickey's was on our last day 3/25 at 10:30 and we planned on going to MK one more time that day. She also has an appointment at the Salon at MK at 4:30 then Princess story book at Epcot at 7 on 3/25. I suppose I could cancel cape may on 3/24 and see if I could move the salon and princess thing to 3/24 since we don't have anything else planned on 3/24 except to lounge around at the resort. But, I really wanted our family to take a break somewhere in the middle of our trip so our DD could get some downtime. Instead of having meltdowns, she's one of those kids who gets all hyped up when she is overtired.
