Cape May Lately?

I like decent buffets. That are clean. Cap May is such a buffet. Not great food but it does the trick. Went twice during my December trip and had good service.
My friend is not a seafood person so I dined alone and received as good service as if I had been with someone.

We were there First week of March. Made a reservation just for husband. He liked it.

I find that opinions on Cape May is dependent on whether you have access to good seafood at home. Folks that do tend to be very down on Cape May. I can’t get crab legs easily at home so this is one of my Must restaurants. But where I live has awesome Mexican and German restaurants. So I am not impressed with San Angel or Biergarten.

DITTO. While the seafood is prepared fresh and switched out often at Cape May, the seafood has been previously frozen. If you are accustomed to FRESH, never frozen, seafood, you may be disappointed. To me the best thing about Cape May is while the food is good--not great--the quality tends to be consistent and there is something for everyone to enjoy.

OTOH (speaking only of buffets) I think the overall food prep is superior at Tusker and Boma (in that order), but certainly both those are not to everyone's tastes.
