Just wondering how the Cape May Clam Bake dinner is? It seems to have alot of our faves...clams, mussles, ribs, chicken! Yummo! Are the ribs good...or would it be better to go to Wispering Canyon? Is the chicken fried chicken or roasted/rotisserie chicken? And how are the clams and mussles? One looked like it was in a broth or butter of some type.....good & yummy?

Is there anything else to do there at that resort while you're there to eat. (We're staying at Poly)

I guess the only way to get there from Poly is the Bus from TTC, eh? But can you walk between Epcot and there? Or take a boat? Perhaps thinking of a dinner there and then moving on to Epcot or vice versa....THANKS!

THANKS! Oh and pix are ALWAYS appreciated!

We really love this place dont go at the very first seating, the food is cold and dry.

DH loves the clams, they are in seasoned broth or plain steamed. I am a huge fan of the ribs and the roasted chicken.

Cannot go wrong here!

Can't answer about the food, but I can answer your question about stuff to do near the resort-Epcot & the Boardwalk!!

The BC is basically right next to the International Gateway to the World Showcase. If you have Park Hoppers, you could stop by the World Showcase before or after dinner. Depending on your ADR time, stay in the WS or around the BC/BW area for Illuminations!

You can also walk around the Boardwalk, which is one of my favorite places! They have street entertainment on certain nights, there are little stores to walk into, a dance club, carnival games, and it's really just a pretty walk.

The other resorts in that area and really fun to visit as well-BC/YC, BWI, Dolphin/Swan. Take a walk around, visit the pools & the lobbies.

Have fun!

Food here is great and we were pleasantly surprised by the variety. My husband isn't a big seafood eater so he was happy to discover the yummy ribs! I love the mussels and clams. Plenty to do in the area with the Boardwalk and Epcot right there as well. It's a must-do for us!

Really enjoyed it the first time; second time (last year) we didn't care for it as much. Not a lot of seafood selections, and the chicken was very dry and the ribs hardly had any sauce on them.

I know it is a clam bake and it does have clams, but I had hoped for more seafood and it is not there. Rather mediocre steam table buffet imho. I love their breakfasts, but won't go back for dinner.

We've almost always had lovely dinners here. It is our default restaurant when we are bringing a variety of guests with wide ranges of personal preference. This buffet seems to have something for everyone.

It is not a seafood buffet. It is a buffet that features, clams, mussels, shrimp and a fish selection. The clams are in a seasoned butter, or plain. They are the very small manilla style clams; very tender and very low risk of choking for children.

There is a carving station with roast beef, a childrens "corner" with a variety of food there, sometimes fried shrimp, pizza, etc. The non-shellfish side of the buffet has roasted chicken that is always moist and delicious, bbq spare ribs that are quite nice (not too sweet and not too spicy) pasta dish, sausage and peppers, vegetable dishes, mash, etc. The salad or cold side has a variety of items to enable making your own salad, or having other cold choices.

There is clam chowder and another hot soup choice. Sometimes it is Walt's favorite chili. There are rolls, and cornbread.

The dessert selection is a good variety of choices including cookies, tarts, and a wonderful flan to name a few.

It's well worth a visit.

Breakfast there is very nice too.

I believe it is a hit or miss thig. Last year(Aug 2007) we had a wonderful meal. The ribs were excellent, the food all awesome. We just had to go back for our trip this year. It was one of th best meals we had that year.

This year(aug 2008) The food was dry and luke warm at best. As someone else has stated, it could have been that we were one of the first tables seated and the food had sat for awhile before they open. A later seating(after 6) might be better.

Hmmm, well it sounds like our best bet would be to wait at least an hour or so after they start serving....hopefully more fresh and hot that way. Just sounds like a good place to go to keep everyone happy and, as mentioned...it has many of our faves like the clams, ribs and chicken! THANKS!

Ribs are fall off the bone tender. If you need more sauce, ask, if it's not on the buffet they will bring you some. Wonderful moist sweet cornbread with whole kernel corn in it, I always eat the pasta dish, and try the corn chowder if it's on the menu that day. The roast beef is typical, and the kids buffet items are good too. The deserts are very tasty, especially the flan.

We love Cape May Clam Bake :goodvibes. We aren't seafood eaters so I can't comment on the clams and such, but everything else is very good....and there's plenty of variety :). Plus we love the atmosphere of the BC and love walking around after dinner :cutie:.
