Cape May Character Breakfast?

keep calling for reservations there might be cancellations and try once you get there, go to restaurant in person also .

the breakfast here is WONDERFUL!!!!!!:thumbsup2
i don't have kids yet but me and dh always eat here at least once when we go, this is one of the breakfsts!!!!!! EVEN FOR ADULTS:rotfl2:

We are staying at the BC. The only ADR I was able to get was at 8:30 the morning after MNSSHP. Needless to say, with a 7 yr old and a slow moving DH, this won't work for us. I've tried to get ADR's on other days and there hasn't been any opening (there goes the not as busy theory.....). Has anyone had luck with a walk up reservation? Since we are at the resort, I am hoping one of us could go down and put our names on a list or somehow land a table for breakfast? Has anyone had any luck with this?

We had no problem at all doing this in June. I think we made the reservation the night before.

We ate at Cape May last Sept. We enjoyed the meal - standard breakfast buffet. The character interaction was phenomenal - we saw each character at least twice & on many occasions we had more than one character with us at the same time. As previous posters have stated, this character meal is more relaxed/mellow than others. We would go back to Cape May again, but we like other character breakfasts better.

That makes me feel better. I think the resort is going to be pretty busy when we are there b/c its the F&W, but it seems crazy to not be able to get into your "home" resort. The room service options seem pretty decent here in lieu of a CS restaurant if all else fails!

As I stated earlier in the thread, we ususally stay at the BCV and we eat at Cape May every trip. I do make one ADR for there, but we usually eat there twice in a week. For the second non-ADR meal DH just goes downstairs in the morning and gets a reservation and comes back up and tells me what time we have to be down there. This is also during F&W, but traditionally we go the week before Columbus day, so in terms of the F&W "busy" scale, I don't know where that week falls.

Keep calling, and walk down early in the morning to see if you can get a ressie.
