Thinking about going for a trip next year for dinner. But I was wondering if they have options other than seafood. I have no problem with seafood but was just curious if they have non-seafood options available as well
You can use the drop-down to change meal type - for dinner it does appear they have non-seafood options. I've never eaten there myself but I hope if you go you enjoy!
We were there last November and there were ribs, chicken and a carving station with (I believe) beef tenderloin. They also had pasta dishes but I can't remember if there was seafood in them.
Honestly, if you don't like crab legs, I don't think it is worth it for dinner. My mom and I love it. The salad options are nice. Dessert is disappointing.
It’s probably going to be awhile before buffets open up so keep your eyes open. We also go to Cape May for dinner and also the characters breakfast. Last trip was Nov 2019. Excellent as usually. At that time the buffet changes out certain seafood items such as fried shrimp to fried calamari or certain dishes every other day.
I will be besides myself if they EVER closed Cape May dinner. It is absolutely the best buffet (anywhere). Even if you don't like seafood, they always have beef, chicken, pasta and much much more. If you compare prices between the buffets you sure get more for your $$$ here.
The problem with Cape May Café is the odor. The fish smell is very strong, even when just walking by. If you don't like the smell of seafood, you'll want to avoid Cape May Café.
we go for dinner once on every trip. We really enjoy it, but we love seafood. There are definitely other option, pasta, chicken, carving station, sides etc. the pizza is horrible and the dessert is weak.
This place is awesome! We go there all the time. Much better than Cape May Cafe as they keep the serving dishes stocked. The one time I ate at CMC it was bad. Service was not good and they didn't keep the "good stuff" stocked up. I can get starches anyplace for a lower price. That being said I'm willing to give them one more try.
To the OP, don't know if you want to pay the price if you're not wild about seafood from the buffet. Don't know if they have an off buffet menu as I went there for the buffet.
We always enjoy Cape May for dinner. Never been for breakfast. Myself and both DS's love seafood and desserts, so we are always all set. DH is a very picky eater but we move as a family so he comes too. I will admit that he does generally eat off the kids buffet area, (mac & cheese, pizza etc) as well as the carvery station (and every buffet has mashed potatotes..lol) but he is always satisfied and full when we leave. Our family always votes yes for this meal. Hope it does not disappear after all this covid!
We took my niece, who has a seafood allergy, last summer for dinner. There was plenty that she could eat. I can't recall specifics right now, but she didn't go hungry. It's worth it for the Oreo bon bons anyway.
