We will be in Disney in 2 wks. and one of our reservations is at Cape May. Please tell me good and bad about this restaurant. Also, is crab legs served everyday or only certain days like fried shrimp. Thanks!:thumbsup2

I haven't been there in almost 2 years, but the crab legs were great. In fact, that is about all I ate!!

Don't know if they are served every day. Sorry. But, I'm sure someone can answer you.....

I have a breakfast ressie for November.

Love Cape May clambake......great salads, homemade mac n cheese, steak, chicken, cornbread and desserts....:worship: oreo bon bons. And I don't like seafood :goodvibes

We just ate there a few weeks ago, everything was great!! We ate so many crab legs, they were very good. I do believe they are offered on the buffet every night.

We just ate here on Father's Day and I can tell you EVERYBODY (party of 10 of us...6 adults, 4 kids) enjoyed our meal here. I know we ate way too much but the crab legs were delicious and plentiful and we couldn't stop. Between those and the buckets of steamed clams and mussels I am sure it was worth it for us.

I can tell you it was busy...we went on Father's Day. There were times where things would be empty, but the kitchen was working hard and stuff did not stay empty for very long at all. They were doing their best to keep up!

I hardly had room for dessert but managed an Oreo Bon-Bon and my DH LOVED the flan dessert (I think that's what it was...banana or vanilla and chocolate). In fact, he made mention to our server that he was disappointed it was out, and next thing she was telling us there was a fresh pan up there!

Crab legs + Oreo Bon Bons = Happiness. :lovestruc

The only thing I can remember not liking was one of the salads...it tasted like window-washer fluid!

I enjoy the clam bake a lot! Here's hoping you do too!

Bobbi:goodvibes

I tried the clambake for the first time last year and really liked it, and have it booked again for this year.

The crab legs are good, and if you don't go the night of fried shrimp, there is always fried something, when I went it was calamari. The salads there are excellant as well.

I really enjoyed Cape May in November. Going in a few weeks and I can't wait! I think the crab legs are there all the time :)

The bad...

Nothing I can think of (our fave restaurant in all of WDW), other than the taffy they give you at the end is hard as a rock.

We stay at POR. The worst thing about Cape May is getting there!! There is just no good way to get from POR to BC. We were at our bus stop over 90 min before our ADR but were still late! We planned to take a bus to MK or E and then go from there to BC. Bus after bus showed up for DHS but never one for E or MK. We finally, against my better judgment, took the DTD bus. HUGE mistake!!!

The food was really good. The crab legs were in high demand so you almost had to be ready to pounce when the CM refilled the pan as they would disappear within a minute or two. Luckily, DH is the only one in our family who likes them. DDs & I loved the fried shrimp, corn bread & potatoes. Our server was crazy busy so we had empty glasses for most of our meal. While we liked it, we won't go back any time in the near future since there are so many other places to try & places that we already love.

How about going from POR to DHS and then the boat to the YC/BC?

You reminded me how much I love the corn bread at Cape May!!!

Just this past Sunday we had both breakfast & dinner there (and another dinner there last week).

Every meal was fantastic! It's DS13's favorite place to dine for dinner.

We ate there in Feb. and loved it. It was one of our favorites. We stayed at Pop and took the short bus ride to DHS and then took the boat to BC.

Just make sure you are hungry when you go! The price keeps getting higher and if you don't eat a lot, you are paying a lot anyway, LOL.

DS ate 3 pieces of pizza and some dessert. The most expensive pizza ever! Adults are $40.

DD and DH ate a ton of crab legs. The mussels and clams were both delicious. I thought the ribs weren't as good as Trail's End but still very good.

We had a TERRIBLE server when we were first seated. They put us in the side room when you first walk in, very far from the buffet and low ceiling. The first thing she asked us was if we had any dining plan, coupons or discounts. I didn't want to answer since I saw it as a "how hard should I work for these people" question, but I said "Well, I have Tables in Wonderland." She said with a smirk, "well, that IS a discount - that's what I was asking."

I told her I wasn't happy with the table and she ran out and got the person who set up seating. I said with a smile - "no offense, I just don't like it here." She said something like "Whatever - just get up and get out so we can re-set the table."

I hope you don't get seated in that room and get her. She was absolutely nasty! I was really glad that we didn't stay there. The noise was almost deafening, especially with the little kids yelling. We like the decor in there and had none of it in the side room.

Otherwise, we totally recommend eating there.
