hello!!! so we booked cape may cafe for breakfast in march. Can u tell me about it? hows the restaurant? Whats the menu like? We've wanted to stay at the beach club and since it was out of our price range this trip we thought we could at least have a meal here :) Thanks for your help!!! :goodvibes

HI! You're in for a treat! CM is one of my family's favorite restaurants on property! We had our rehearsal dinner there! I do prefer breakfast to the dinner, but both are good. It will be a character meal, usually with "beach club Minnie, Goofy, and Donald", but 'characters are subject to change without notice' (to coin WDWs favorite phrase) :)

They have a breakfast pizza there that's outta this world and scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, a hash brown casserole, a whole bread area with bagels, toast, muffins, all in a huge buffet! Oh, and very cute, a little mini-buffet that's child sized with like Mickey waffles and such so the kids can get their own! The menu does change, so don't quote me on the specifics. :) I will try and see if I can figure out how to upload so pics on here for you! Have fun!

Cape May is excellent, and probably the best breakfast at WDW we had next to the Ohana Best Friends' Breakfast. Minnie, Goofy, and Donald were there wearing swim clothes. The food was a buffet with standard breakfast food.

OK, anyone know how to upload pictures in the boards?? I would love to share a bunch of WDW pics I have from over the years, but they're not in an "url" help!

We ate there in June. My DH has decided this is his favorite breakfast in WDW. Of course, since I love smoked salmon, I was absolutely thrilled to have the bagel/lox/cream cheese station. YUMMY!!!

We're doing the breakfast for the first time during our May trip. We've done the dinner many times but never the breakfast. Our first night dinner this trip will be Cape May. I can't wait, only 97 more days!!!

You need to have them uploaded to a photo website (webshots, Flickr etc) and then copy and paste the url from there, most sites will say use this url for forums... goodluck!

While not our favorite food-wise, we do think that the character interaction here is so much better than any of the other character breakfasts we have done. Our last visit here a year ago, we practically had to beat Donald and Goofy to get them to leave our table.

Cape May Cafe is one of our family's must dos. The food is always hot and fresh and very yummy :goodvibes. Also the character interaction is awesome. My DH describes this restaurant as one of the better buffets on Disney property with characters who love to have fun with the guests and with each other, and I couldn't agree with him more :goodvibes

Love Cape May for Breakfast. The Characters are so much fun, and we never feel out of place as just two adults. It really makes for a great breakfast after a late night at Jellyrolls ;) This tip just for Adults though :thumbsup2

Ok, I'm going to go against the flow and say that I was very disappointed in the breakfast at Cape May. I really enjoy this place for dinner, but breakfast was a big let down.

IMHO, I felt the buffet was on par with what you would find at a Golden Corral. To their credit the available fruits were very good and I have to agree the character interaction was great. But for that price I would have at least liked an omelet station which they did not have on our visit.

We love this place!! If you click on my Oct 08 reviews I have a ton of pics of the breakfast buffet...in the 3 years we have been eating here the menu has never changed

We found the food to be good, and we were shocked how quiet it was for a character meal. The restaurant was nowhere near full, and there was none of the chaos that you get at most other character meals.

I made early reservations here for breakfast in May. I want to visit the beach club and then spend the rest of the morning at Epcot. If Epcot and DHS are not having extra magic hours that morning, is there anyway to get to the Beach Club for a 8 am reservation without having to take a taxi? We are staying at the Pop Century.

You may be able to take the bus to DHS and then transfer to the boat. You would have to get the bus pretty early. There is a character breakfast at DHS that begins at 8AM so the bus should leave Pop Century by 7AM, I would imagine. Just get to the bus stop early. You can take the boat to Beach Club from DHS, not sure how long the walk is...I know it's about 10-15 minutes from DHS to the Boardwalk, but Beach Club is further away from DHS than Boardwalk is, to give you an idea.

We have ADRs for both dinner and breakfast at Cape May! We're going on our first trip "home" to Boardwalk Villas as DVC members, and we decided to take advantage of some of the restaurants in the Epcot resort area. So, we decided that we would definitely try Cape May for dinner one night since it looks awesome, there are plenty of foods for our kids, and we have read great reviews. We like to go to a character breakfast on the final morning of the trip just after checking out and before hitting the road (makes the last night going to sleep less depressing!), and we decided to go to Cape May at 7:30 when it opens since it is so convenient to the Boardwalk and again, we read great reviews!

MickeyNicki, I looked at your pics from 2008...boy does that breakfast buffet look delicious!!

You can get anywhere by bus as well. You can take a bus to DTD or any theme park and then bus over to beach club. As previous post said, the boat from DHS is an enjoyable ride; however, make sure you add in transportation time for that as well.

Thank you for the advice. If we catch the first bus to DHS and do not have to wait too long for the boat, we should get to the Beach Club in just under an hour.

Congratulations on your DVC membership! If I were to go DVC I would choose the Boardwalk Villas as well! So much to do, right in the vicinity! I am really looking forward to my family's dinner at Flying Fish Cafe on our second night!
