Can you please give me your opinions for Cape May. I have never been and just discovered they serve seafood. My family loves seafood and I just wanted to see if everyone thought it was worth a try. Also is there anywhere else that serves it? I am on the dining plan so i am looking for new places to go :goodvibes Thanks for your help.

My Mom just tried it and loved it. That's saying a lot considering she doesn't like buffets :)

They have clams, mussels, cocktail shrimp and fish on the seafood side. Not what I call a seafood buffet. However, they have ribs, roast beef, and lots of other stuff. It's a clam bake with food for landlubbers. We ate there in Jan. and thought the food was awesome. The service, meh. The desserts were the best I've ever had on a buffet. Oreo bonbons should be illegal they're so good. Check www.allears.net menus for a good look at what they have.

It is our favorite buffet at Disney BUT it is seriously lacking alot of seafood( I can't eat any shellfish anyway I have an allergy) .They had peel n eat shrimp, clams, mussels, chowder, and a fish of the day. The non seafood side had more selections and was equally good.

We just got back from Disney this past Monday and we ate at Cape May for dinner last Sunday night. I'm craving those ribs again already!! We are not seafood eaters so I can't comment on that part but the rest of the buffet was fabulous. Hands down the best buffet of the week and we all agreed (and there were 11 of us) that this was the second best meal we had during our entire vacation, second only to O'hana.

Im so glad to hear you thought it was one of the best buffets. We would like to try and get ressies for O'hana also.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts :goodvibes

Went on Friday night...5 minutes after we sat down DS12 asked if we could go again! It's so worth the trip. I am on Weight Watchers and was easily able to stick to my plan - I was very impressed with the variety and healthy options! The fish of the day was supposed to be cod but they ran out and substituted salmon - bonus! They had NINE different types of veggies, the steamed green beans were amazing...they have a separate section for kids with chicken nuggets, mickey mac n cheese and peas & carrots...TONS of fresh cut fruit, 3 different types of salads, and the roasted chicken was soooo good. Mashed potatoes were too lumpy for my taste but that's just a personal preference.

DS12 got something called a "lava smoothie" - virgin pina colada with raspberry puree - he was in heaven.

The mussels and clams are plentiful, they have little silver buckets for them, and melted butter and also tomato butter you can put into little cups.

The food was high quality and bountiful, and to top it off the service was OUTSTANDING. From the moment we arrived it was really welcoming. The servers are dressed in old-time dresses reminiscent of an old seashore restaurant - they are on the "mature" side which is nice - they know what they are doing! Our server, Maxine, was a delight, and very proud of the food they had there. PS we were seated within 3 minutes of our ADR

Note that the atmosphere is very boisterous, lots of activity and kids, loud, but it's all good, it's definitely not a place for a quiet romantic dinner, but that's not what you go to Cape May for.

Oreo bon bons are worth the hype - I saved my extra "points" and had 2!! Yummy, yummy. I'll try and put a picture here:

So 2 thumbs up! Not sure if I'll have time to go back but will sure try popcorn:: Hope you get your ressie!

We enjoyed our dinner at Cape May, but I would be careful of getting your expectations up on it being a "seafood" buffet. There are steamed clams, mussels, etc as others have posted (which are quite tasty) but its not like the seafood we are accustomed to in New England.

Narcoossee's has lobster on their menu and it is fantastic (also requires 2TS if you are on the DDP).

Next trip we are trying Fulton's so I will let you know how that is very very soon!!!

We go almost every trip. I love clams but am not interested in little chewy cold nuggets. They are constantly refreshing the buffet so the clams are fresh and delicious. My DH can't even stand the smell of seafood but he was OK here. The children's buffet is the usual.

I think they have a wonderful selection of salad items. Much more than any other buffet.

We have dined there many times and loved it...plan on going back in Oct.

There is not that much seafood, littleneck clams, mussels, clam chowder, peel and eat shrimp and on Thur and Fri fried talapia.

If you click on my Oct link you will find a ton of buffet pictures

I've had the Lobster at Narcosees and for 2 TS I don't think it's worth it, but the Lobster sandwich at Captains Grille for 1 TS, was huge and delicious!

I love the Cape May Clam Bake. It's my favorite buffet. And the Oreo Bon bons are quite yummy.

We went for the first time on our last trip. It was really good and we went back another night. I didn't see it crowded at all. Like the others said there were plenty of clams and mussels, but we aren't big fans either. There were shrimp and a good salmon in addition to the ribs and roast beef. We liked it and went to breakfast there also and it was a lot of fun. We added it to our must do this time around. Since it wasn't too crowded the desserts stayed stocked and everything looked fresh.
