Cape May Cafe Review

Going to Yachtsman for dinner tonight!!!!!!!

Woo Hoo.

Yum! Yeah, once we'd changed Cape May to Yachtsman, we couldn't bring ourselves to switch back - hence the Flying Fish cancellation. :) We had a really wonderful meal at Yachtsman in July, and I'm looking forward to going back!

XO

They have those pull apart rolls with the roaster garlic....

I may just have bread and garlic for dinner.

I need to go back to Yachtsman. It's been so long.

They don't have crab legs though. ;)

Wasn't Yachtsman the place with the bad manager? Is that guy still around?

That was the Captain's Grill.:scared1:

Captain's Grill. I couldn't think of that for the life of me. Have you been back there since?

As for the pull apart garlic rolls.....YUM! I'd rather have those than dessert!

Captain's Grill used to be the Yacht Club Galley or something right?

The onion rolls with the roasted garlic are my weakness. You don't get the full menu in the Crew's Cup Lounge, but you DO get those wonderful rolls and garlic. I'd be happy with that and the appetizers. And the cheese plate. The filet I had wasn't the quality I expected. I might have to give a different steak a chance before I write off the meat and go there for bread and side dishes only.

I always have the Porterhouse. It is amazing.

Woo Hoo.

Yum!!!

I always get the same thing there. When we get our favorite waiter, Oscar, I hardly have to tell him.

Lobster Bisque for an appy, and the Filet for the main course. Oh, and extra pull-apart onion rolls with garlic & butter.

One night at the local Red Lobster my wife got hit in the head by a flying crab claw. It was from the table across the room. The lady was a tad too vigourous in her cracking, and apologized to no end. Once the initial shick wore off, we found it rather hilarious.

:lmao:

I was wondering if you can find out in advance what fried options Cape May is offering. Are the rotations done on a regular basis , or is it just by chance? The last time we were in Cape May I ate my weight in mussels!

You might lose an eye. I'm messy at cracking those legs. At one point during dinner in July, I cracked and a piece flew two tables down and hit somebody. It was quite comical. Not to mention anyone at my table sitting next to me was using plates as shields. :rotfl:

Oh my gosh! I am the same!
I was at Beach Club and Beach Club Villas 8/1 - 8/14. Oddly we had not made reservations at Cape May. Well, of course after walking past it night after night and smelling the great smells....We begged our way in one night.

When we ate there it was a total crab leg experience for a friend and I. I sincerly apologize to anyone sitting in our strike zone. It was a lot of work, but we had fun and the crab was great. There was other food there as well, I'm sure of it, but I was busy!

Pete - if this is not your idea of a good time - I can see why perhaps you don't love Cape May as much!

Hahaha. Too funny! I used to live in MD for college and it's more of the experience than anything. You can spend hours just hanging out with friends and cracking those claws. I love that. :)

Cousin Eddie: I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?
Clark: You're the gourmet around here, Eddie.
"REAL Tomato ketchup, Eddie ??" :)

Because of Kevin's positive review, I've made an ADR for Cape May for 11/28/10! Being from Louisiana, I'm going to give the seafood a try. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for SHRIMP! :thumbsup2

Nikki....just to get warmed up for our crab eating contest, I ate 1/2 a bushel of Maryland steamed crabs yesterday. I bet you I must have shot about 10 pieces of crab claws over the table! LOL

and boy am I stuffed! I must be out of shape. :goodvibes
