Anyone love/hate/have strong opinions on this place?

BF LOVES!!! seafood. I'm allergic to white fish and shellfish. I can eat in the restaurant and it can touch my food without concern - just not supposed to eat it.
So - is it worth it to us? Will a seafood lover (we live in NY so fresh is seldom an option here - unless he wants Lake Ontario fish full of mercury!) and an "eats-no-fish" steak lover find a good meal?

While I didn't think CMC for dinner was just awful, everyone in my family was less than impressed with it. Of course, you have to keep in mind that we are originally from the coast and are quite picky about our seafood. When we dined at CMC in May, the shellfish were sandy. We overheard the folks at a neighboring table politely complain about this. Their server's response was basically "too bad." Shrimp were tiny and unseasoned. Non-seafood items had been sitting out on the buffet for waaaaayyy too long. We won't be returning any time in the near future. There are too many really good places to eat first.

I hate to say this but when we were there in November it was really the only dissapointement of our trip. This had been an annual stop for us and we had always really enjoyed it. I grew up on the Jersey Shore and do not expect that level of seafood but the clams were always good and worth the price by themselves.

This time the presentation was more bland and the selection seems to have shrunk. The dessert area is now 1/3 of what it was years ago. It was all just very blah....nothing horrible but nothing special. There are just too many places to eat at WDW to settle for that.

For an extra couple of dollars we've decided to try 1900 Park Fair next trip and skip CMC....it's a shame...it really used to be one of the highlights of our trip!

Though Breakfast and dinner where great. :Pinkbounc

I'm on the opposite as one poster said. Breakfast I've enjoyed, dinner did NOT impress at all and I wouldn't go back again for dinner.

Main reasons: Very crowded, consistently out of many items that were waiting to be refilled so MANY trips up and back to the buffet and still many items were not replensihed. I gave up on the salad bar items.

We spent more time waiting in line to get our food then actually sitting and eating. And, quite frankly I didn't find the food better than fair. As far as buffets go I'd easily go for CP at MK over this one.
