Cape May Cafe.....a hit with adults....

My extended family dined at CMC this past Tuesday, June 25th....6:35pm reservation. We drove over from BLT and got a little lost but made it with time to spare. We were doing the countries after dinner and wanted to save on the time not having to take 2 monorails and walk thru the all of Epcot just for dinner.

First time for my DSis and family this is our 3rd time to CMC. We checked and were given a pager but only had to wait about 5 minutes. We were seated in an auxiliary dining room to the right as soon as you come in....near the desserts.

We like the location...kind of private...close to buffet!!

DH and DBiL got their monies worth...crab legs, shrimp, calamari and chowder.
DSi and I had a tasting of almost everything and then went back for our favorites.....loved Calamari....and House Salad....pasta with Artichokes...steamers....

Now my DSs are not good with Buffets and My DNephew we had to get chicken nuggets special and he had a mini cupcake and a cookie, so that was a waste of $100.

I thought everything was excellent....desserts very good....but I do agree with previous posters you need to like seafood...which we did ...except for two of the boys.

My sister also had never been over to this area and loved the whole place ....Beach Club...Boardwalk and gateway into countries....

CMC....we will be back for sure!

On the kiddies buffet they had fish nuggets, pizza, roasted chicken drumsticks and macaroni & cheese. I mentioned to the chef' who came out because my nephew as allergies that he would be having the chicken nuggets. He told me they only had fish nuggets on buffet but would bring out chicken ones. The pizza was good my sons had it, but my nephew wouldn't even try it....just picky that night.

They also had a carving station with beef looked like a steak or prime rib. The also had chicken cachetore (Italian style). My one son loved the beef...the other had crab legs, red potatoes and corn on the cob.

There is really something for everyone, but way more seafood....the buffet used to be called "the Cape May Clambake"......

I believe it was $35+ for adults, which my sons qualified for even though they it like little kids and the $18+ for 9 and under. DH and I love buffets, but we are big eaters. We lose money on our boys.....

Glad you had a good experience. Cape May is one of our favorites .

We are not big seafood eaters and we love Cape May (it's a must do for us every trip). I think there is plenty of variety for non-seafood eaters .

I read on the menu online that they have BBQ ribs, is that still true? No one mentioned that as a non-seafood option so I wondered. Also is the shrimp peeled or so you have to peel it?

I do not remember seeing ribs....but sons and hubby do not eat them.....I was concentrating on the seafood.

I believe you had to peel shrimp....hubby had that ....

I think they should have kept ed the name with "clambake".... Because that to me is the menu .....corn on cob ...boiled red potatoes ....steamers, shrimp and crab legs (I think tese replace the typical lobster). Salmon, calamari, corn chowder, mussels marinara etc...fish nuggets.. Yes they have some chicken, pizza and pasta...but the real flavor of the buffet is seafood.

Love Cape May also! We have 3 kids and for one it's his favorite restaurant...all the seafood, but for the other 2 it's just ok. There is plenty of non-seafood food for them, but just doesn't seem worth the money for them. Now they go to Beaches and Cream and enjoy a burger and ice cream while we sit and enjoy all the seafood! A great place, but definitely recommended only if most of you like seafood.

We love cape may. The mac and cheese (I believe on the kids' bar) is so yummy! I had two servings this last time.
