We have dinner ressies at CMB for Christmas dinner. Has anyone done this before and how was it? We have a 6:40 ressie, and plan on going to Sea World before dinner.

I'd like to hear how the food is here also. I'm thinking of going there when I get in on 12/9. :flower:

Come on has anyone done this???

Ok... I'll bite. However, we've never done it for Xmas dinner. That said... we as a family of 5 LOVE the Cape May. We've been four times altogether and have always had a great meal. The food was always quickly restocked, tasty and there are many choices. My DH and DS7 really love clam chowder and claim that CP has one of the better ones they've had. They both bring an extra bowl of clams as well to add to their chowder to make it a very thick stew. I enjoy the mussels and the salad bar is very good... however the peel and eat shrimp are so tiny that I don't bother with them. The steak which was sirloin strip, last time, was very good too. I was able to get it medium rare. Our other two children (DD10 and DS4) are not hugely into seafood and they were completely happy with the other abundant choices. On one thread a while ago someone was complaining about the desserts at the cape may and I found that a little strange. Granted, it's not the biggest dessert selection I've ever seen at WDW... but for what they have the quality is very good. They have these Oreo BonBons which are delish. All in all... I think you should check it out. Be prepared, however, that it is CASUAL and BUSY. Cheers.

We dined there just last week on Thanksgiving Day and I would not recommend them for a holiday. Although the food was good, the staff seem very unprepared for busy days like that one. Our table was horrible, our party of 7 adults crammed into a half booth table, against the wall, so that for the one inside to go up to the buffet, all four of them had to squeeze out each time. Long story short, I was very displeased with the first manager I spoke with.

I plan to post further on this, but just returned home this week and have been ill with a viral infection. Will try to post the whole story here tomorrow.

We had dinner at Cape May on NYE a couple years ago. The food was excellent, service was attentive enough, and we generally had a lovely time. As I recall, our ADR (PS back then) was for about 5:30 or 6:00.

My co-worker had Thanksgiving dinner there last week and really liked it. Not sure what time they dined though.

We ate there the week of Thanksgiving. The food was good. The shrimp were of good size. Not small by any means. I would go again. I did not care for the desserts but everyone else liked them.

The only think I noticed about WDW I could not find a good brownie. Every brownie I tried was dry.

We had ADRs for 7:40 and were about 45 min late due to medical emergency. They still sat us and we enjoyed our food.

Had Xmas Dinner there last year... it was very good. We've eaten there a half-dozen times. I don't think the menu, service, or atmosphere was much different than any other time we have dined there. If you've enjoyed it before, you'll enjoy it for Christmas Dinner. It was my favorite meal of the trip.
