Cape May breakfast?

We are attending DHS after hours on a Wednesday night so we plan to sleep in next morning.
We are staying at Beach Club, so I thought Cape May character breakfast might be fun?

We are adults, will characters still stop by our table?
Is there a good amount of food options? Decent to good overall?

Thanks for opinions.

Yes, the characters will stop at your table & take pictures if you want. They’ll play around with you too. We like the breakfast. We just ate there last month, but before characters returned. I remember fresh fruit (strawberries, pineapple, grapes) , yogurt, oatmeal, breakfast potatoes, French toast, pancakes, Mickey waffles, crepes with fruit & whipped cream for topping, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs & biscuits with gravy. I know there were more things, probably another kind of egg dish, but we don’t eat eggs so I didn’t pay much attention to those. I think there were some croissants or similar pastries. Everything was very good. We don’t eat at a lot of buffets, but we like this one.

Yes, the characters will stop by your table and interact with you as much as you would like. We don't particularly like the food at Cape May. If you would like better food, I would choose Ale & Compass instead, but there are no characters there.

I'm looking at doing this breakfast buffet on check-out day since we're staying at YC. It sounds like the kind of breakfast foods my kids like and we love character meals. We haven't done this one before, so I can't comment on our experience with it yet. It looks like a good one!

My wife and I love this breakfast. We go every time we are there. I'm even going on my upcoming solo trip on my check out day.

Characters come by every table and if you engage, so do they.

Food is good for breakfast and nice variety. We've always been happy with it and prefer the buffet to be able to choose the things we like.

Thanks. We definitely plan to book this one.

It amazed me at the Cape May Breakfast to see how well the characters read body language. I was a solo adult, very shy, and only eating there because I was staying at the Beach Club and I liked the offerings. But I had no desire to interact with the characters. Every time they came by, they'd give a little wave or blow me a kiss, but never stop-that's the way I wanted it. A few years later, I got much braver where character dining was concerned, and they sensed it. Came right over, gave my camera to their CM "handler" and motioned to take our picture.

anyone recent experiences in getting a walk-in when no reservations were available, like right at 7.30ish?
