Is it possible to visit on an Epcot EMH morning - arrive at park early and then walk through International Gateway for a late character breakfast? Will they allow you to walk right through before World Showcase opens at 11am?

Also how is this breakfast and how does it compare to 'Ohanas, which we enjoyed very much in October?

Yes, it is possible to go through IGW before WS opens. They have CM's standing around, you just have to tell them you are going to the Boardwalk.

As far as a comparison, Cape May is a breakfast buffet with all your standard breakfast items where 'Ohana is family style. Food is plentiful and the character interaction is very good. Cape May is usually a pretty quiet breakfast. Much quieter than most that I have been too. I think because it's a little out of the way for most if they don't have a car. Your idea is good though to get to the park early, tour for a couple of hours and then go over to the BC. :thumbsup2

I have always enjoyed breakfast at Cape May. It is a bit quieter than say Chef Mickey's but it has a large buffet area with alot of various choices and the characters are great!!! I also had great servers there also, I usually request Sami, Ronda or Dottie they all have been with Disney for over 35 years and are great employees!!!!!

DD and I are going on Saturday morning! Can't wait. Eating dinner there Friday night as well. Our special one night get away to the beach club!

Others already answered you question but just the mere mention of Cape May makes me need to jump in! We LOVE Cape May for both dinner and breakfast. We insist on doing one of each on every trip. The food IMO is much better than O'Hanas and there is a LOT more variety too! It's quite a bit quieter than Chef Mickey's! Though Chef Mickey's is our other MUST do both breakfast and dinner locales! Both places get highest marks from us! We like O'Hana but don't insist on eating there. Cape May? YEPPERS! I'm salivating over the thought!!!! :teeth:

You can enter and exit the Epcot International Gateway anytime for any reason. The hours match the main entrance. Before 11am WS is roped off and you will be directed towards FW.

After our last trip to WDW -- which was our 2nd visit to the Cape May breakfast -- we decided to make this breakfast our special, last day at WDW breakfast. As others have said, it is a lot quieter than most character breakfasts, the selection is good and the character interaction is awesome :thumbsup2

Thanks for the great responses - sounds like a must do then. We have been there for dinner twice before, but never for breakfast. We could always go back into Epcot to tour the WS after our late breakfast. What is the latest seating time for breakfast and if we did choose the latest time slot, would the buffet still be well stocked?
