Cape May Breakfast Buffet?

I did my fastpasses this morning and had to switch some things around. I have a backup plan of doing Cape May Cafe breakfast on our Epcot day if I can't secure the reservation I really want. Is it a good experience -- both with characters and food? I don't hear too much about it.

It is, in our experience, the least chaotic of the character meals, which makes it better than the others, IMO. Breakfast buffets in Disney, for the most part, is pretty similar from buffet to buffet (with maybe a couple of dishes here and there unique to each). Goofy does his thing, Donald does his thing, Minnie does her thing and its off to the next table, just like the other character meals. There isn't much more the masked characters can do. It is all just kind of typical I guess.

The reason you don't really hear about it often is A) those that go to it don't want to word to spread too much and B) a lot of people look past it because BC can be intimidating to get to in the morning using Disney transportation.

Well, I have a 10:30 reservation. We're staying at POR and I figure we can head over to Epcot and do a ride or two at rope drop, then walk over there to enjoy breakfast. I did have the Bon Voyage breakfast and that's what we were planning to do there.

This is our favorite breakfast buffet and the kids love the characters dressed up in their beach wear! we go to Cape May for breakfast every time we visit Disney - I think you will really enjoy it.

Unfortunately they discontinued the crepe station. But I agree with others that the food is still good and the atmosphere is more relaxed than most other character meals.

Indeed. But actually we don't mind the commute when coming from a non-EC resort area. The walk in the morning from DHS to BC is really nice before the heat and humidity kick in, and so is the ride on the boat on those lazier mornings. Sure it isn't the most direct route, but it really isn't as bad as some people think it is or make it out to be.

We had breakfast there on 11/20. It was so good and we were stuffed. Characters were fantastic.

True. If my ADR were later, I’d be cool with that, but with a 7:35 ADR I shall be Lyft-ing it.

It’s a great, relaxed, fun character buffet. We do it every trip but stay at the beach club anyway and do it on our lazy sleep in morning. Characters are great it’s not at all frenetic

Cape May Cafe breakfast is one of our favorites. We found it to be a bit more peaceful than other breakfast buffets. My DH is gluten free and he was also very happy with his breakfast. Our server was great too!

We really like it. I agree that it's more laid back and less crowded than others, the food is good and I like the character's outfits.

Disney has a few breakfast buffets with Characters.

Cape May is one of the 'better' experiences; value is enhanced if you enjoy smoked salmon.
