Cape Kennedy

The countdown is on and there are way too many questions to ask between now and then!! sunny:

I would like any information anyone has on what type of food courts/restaurants there are either in or around Cape Kennedy. Is there anything you liked or not. We are going to go on a Thursday and spend the whole day there. Also what is the traffice like from WDW to The Cape?

They have a little counter service place in the building where the Saturn V is housed. We ended up eating there just because that is where we were when we were ready for lunch. Food was ok, I really don't remember what we had. There was plenty of seating.

I believe there was counter service in the main area where you come in as well.

We visited the day after Christmas. I don't remember traffic being heavy- although the Space Center did get very busy. I found out while we were there it is always the busiest day of the year!

It is really an interesting place to visit. We spent the whole day there and still didn't see everything! You will want to go to an IMAX movie while you are there. It was really neat. We ended up buying one for our home DVD player. Now on some Saturday mornings we feel like we are being launched into space by our sons (gotta love that surround sound!)

In short, the food was ok. You won't starve, but it isn't anything to write home about.

You can also do lunch with an astronaut if you'd like. It's more expensive and requires a reservation.
