A little background. I am looking for a nice, clean hotel with a very nice outdoor pool. 2 adults, no kids. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks in advance,
Jenny

I'm originally from Cape Cod so when I saw your post I instantly got homesick!!! I don't know what your budget is, but two WONDERFUL places to stay are :
Chatham Bars Inn ( in Chatham) http://chathambarsinn-px.trvlclick.com/
or
The Wequassett Inn (in Chatham) http://www.wequassett.com/

both overlook Pleasant Bay. On any given day, you'll see sailboats, fishing boats, seals....it's tranquil, peaceful and just GORGEOUS. Chatham Bars Inn is within walking distance to downtown Chatham and all the great restaurants. The Wequassett is a bit more out of the way....you'd have to drive to go anywhere.

Please feel free to pm me if you have any questions at all. These 2 are the jewels of the Cape !!!

A few questions:

Where are you planning on being and/or how far out on the Cape do you want to be? Upper Cape ( Bourne/Pocasset, Falmouth, Sandwich, Mashpee/New Seabury) , Mid Cape (Barnstable/Hyannis/Cotuit/Cummaquid, Yarmouth, Dennis), Lower Cape (Brewster, Harwich, Chatham, Orleans) or Outer Cape/National Seashore area (Eastham, Wellfleet, Truro, Provincetown)?

Do you want to be on the water, walk to beach, short drive to beach?

Do you want to go budget or romantic?

How long do you plan on being there?

Neither one of us has ever been to the Cape, so I don't know what area we would want to be in.

Do you want to be on the water, walk to beach, short drive to beach? Beach really doesn't matter too much, a nice pool is much more important, I am sure we will want to go to the beach one day (just to say we were there).

Do you want to go budget or romantic? Romantic, but budget around $250 p/n doesn't hurt either.

How long do you plan on being there? We would just go for a long weekend.

We are just in the planning stages. My husband did tell me tonight during dinner that we should just stay home this summer (just got back from Myrtle Beach last week), save money and add a couple days to our Disney trip in Sept/Oct. I think that I will call Disney tomorrow and see if we can add a couple days to our free dining (just to see what they say) and have Cape Cod as a back up plan.
Thanks for everyone's input. I do appreciate it.

I recommend the Red Jacket Resorts ,too...The Riviera Beach or The Red Jacket Beach Resort.
Both are on the water and are in South Yarmouth, centrally located on the Cape. They both have lovely outdoor pools and grounds. They also have indoor pools and whirlpools/hottubs.Check their website for special deals.:thumbsup2
I lucked out last year when I walked up to the Red Jacket Beach Resort one Saturday in June about noontime and they gave me an Oceanfront room for only $100 per nite. I was in so excited ...it was just my lucky day. :woohoo:

For $250 p/n you have a lot of options.

As this is an adult's only trip you may want to think about Provincetown. Furthest town out so a long ride, but there are some great places to stay here, lots of shopping, whale watches and catamaran cruises a few steps away, lots of great restaurants, some historic landmarks to visit and there is a TON of night life along with some amazing beaches. I've been there a lot but always camped so I can't recommend any hotels.

We've been staying at the Blue Water Resort in South Yarmouth each year for the last 10+ years. I highly recommend it :thumbsup2

We love the Riviera Beach resort, we go every year, either June or Sept, we walk in too, and always get a great deal, we got ocean front one year for $100 and last september we got pool side for $100 :thumbsup2
I always check online to see what availability they have before we go :)

I just that it was just "my lucky day"...now that I have seen that you too, have gotten a $100/nite oceanfront room, I'll have to try it again (of course, a little off-season though...which is fine by me!) I just love great deals !:woohoo:
