We are thinking about doing this on upcoming trip.

Is Sat. a OK day to go(crowds)?

How much does it cost?

Can you see most of it in 1 day?

How far a drive from WDW?

DD is really into Space stuff right now. She loves Apollo 13 video.

Anything beyond my questions you can add would be great

I can't remember the cost because we got our tickets through AAA (and a discount). We went on a Saturday (in July) after we got off our cruise and we spent about half a day and did a lot. There was a crowd but you couldn't tell there was that big of a crowd, really. It was hot given the time we were there but just remember to drink plenty of water.

You can do it in a day but it also depends on what you want to do. There are several pass options with one including a tour. Which will take up more time. The best thing to do is to go to their website and look at the different options and then decide. But you can definitely spend a day there.

The drive from WDW I believe is about an hour (it's about an hour to the port and this is just north of the port).

<font color=navy>We went a few years ago, and it was one of the highlights of our trip (in my eyes at least).

We got the package that includes the bus tour that stops at three places plus two IMAX movies - we saw the launch pad from a distance, international skylab, the first capsules, a real Saturn V rocket (huge huge huge), demonstrations of landing on the moon, and other stuff that was pretty impressive. We got there about 9:am (I think that's when it opened), and left around 5:pm. Full day, but we saw a good part of the Space Center. I think two movies was a bit much, but one IMAX movie, especially a 3-d space one is nice.
