Hi all,

Looking toward June of 2010 for our next visit to the WDW. We want to hit the Space Coast for a few days prior to landing at the Fort for 4 nights. I have a few questions:

- We would like to stay at the KOA in Cape Canaveral for a couple of nights. Good, bad, indifferent? Looks good in their ads, and close to the space attractions.
- How close is the KOA to the beach?
- If you've gone to have the NASA experience at the Cape Canaveral Visitors Center, is it a one or two day visit to see everything that the basic ticket offers? I know that the tickets get you in for two days...

Hoping for some food for thought!

Thanks!

Pooh,
We stayed there at the KOA for a day or so after we came back from Key West a few years back. The KOA was okay, not the nicest not the worst. It was just a place to park the camper while we went to Cape Canaveral. We only stayed for one day and I thought that was long enough. We opted for the deluxe package ( sorry it has been few years so my terminology may not be exact) there was a bus trip that got us past were most people could go, and we were about 1/2 mile from the shuttle launch area. There was also a self guided tour around the facility that was very nice. You got to see a lot of the space center and the equipment for the space program. There also was some sort of guided tour through one building where they built the space station modules.... PM me if you have any other questions....
