How much cash are we going to need to visit Cape Canaveral for the day? It will myself,DH and DS-9. We will want to the tour with the movies ect so are planning a whole day. Will drive over from WDW in our rental car. So I suppose I need to budget for gas,one meal for the 3 of us-counter service is fine,tickets/admission and a few bucks for a souvie. So how much do you think we'll need?
Thanks

The Kennedy Space Center admission charge (covering the bus tour, 2 IMAX films and all the Visitor Center exhibits) is $26 for adults and $16 for children 3-11. You should be able to get a decent lunch for $20 for the 3 of you at either The Orbit Restaurant or the Lunch Pad (both counter service). Souvenirs are obviously up to you, but I always spend a lot there! Parking is free, BTW. Have a great day!

Look up www.kennedyspacecenter.com for more ino.

At www.orlandotripplanner.com you can find a list of discounts for Kennedy Space Center on the Discount Tickets Page. There are several ways to get a few dollars off admission. Stuff from the gift shop can be pricy, but I found a few t-shirts on sale too so look for the sale racks. Definately plan a whole day because there is a lot to see and do there (more than you might think, plus for somethings you have to plan your day around the show schedules).

We just came back from KPC. Make sure you buy PLAY FLAUSA scratch off Lotto tickets. For every nonwinning ticket, you will get 40% off at KPC. That's about $10 off each adult ticket. You need a ticket for each person to get the discount.

Another tip is to make sure you see the 3D IMAX film on the space station. It's 45 minutes of an "out of this world" experience.

Enjoy!

We just got back from KSC and it was great. My weird family liked it better than Universal. It is a great thing to do to get away from the heat. Almost everything is indoors. We thought it was expensive. We spent $40 on lunch for 4 people.

It was the one place we went that had tight security. I am pretty sure that you can not bring anything in. And water and snacks were very pricey. I paid $3 for a candy bar and a small bag of chips. The souveniors are what you would expect, they have some great things.
