Just over two weeks until our first trip home (BWV) and I can't wait. There will be 6 of us, DW, DS and friend, DD and friend in a 2 BR. DS will be a senior in college so this could be the last family vacation in the traditional sense.
I'm a bit anxious about six grown people in a mini van for 17 hours (trip down includes one overnight stop), but then I've stocked up with Disney trivia. Neither of the kids' friends have ever been to WDW before so they are really excited. I am too about being able for them to share this with others.
We haven't been down since 2001, so I'm really looking forward to experiencing some of the changes, Soaring, Mission Space, the new Nemo at Living Seas (dude). We were able to book an Illuminations Cruise for Saturday night, June 25th, preceeded by the buffet at Cape May Cafe. We have some other plans, Sci Fi (the kids love it and for people who have never been there, I think there's nothing like it), but for the most part we are going to ease into it and go with the flow, even though I know it will be crowded. We're pretty laid back about waiting and coming back to things with FP, etc. and we will have a full week to try and do as much as possible.
Saved up a ton of points to spend with the Disney Visa over the past three years so that adds to the fun-spending bonus money.
Anyway, hope this turns out to be one for the books. Love vacations and love WDW.....
