AHHHHHHHHHH I"M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!
I'm a college sophomore at USNA so I'm always super busy (I'm a chem major). I don't get a lot of time off, about 3 weeks for xmas and less than 2 weeks for the summer. And after I graduate I'll be in the Navy so i really won't get time for me and my mom. So we decided to go to WDW before XMas, the 18th to the 22nd. We haven't been since 2004? I think. But it's been a while and we're really really excited already. We'll be celebrating my 20th birthday down there. My real birthday isn't for another month, but I'm always at school for my birthday and they aren't a big deal up here. It's not like spending your birthday at the World, which would make everything a lot better.
We're staying at the Shades of Green all the nights. I really wanted Animal Kingdom Lodge, but it's over $200 a night more to stay there than SoG, so guess where we're staying... Oh well, it's a pretty nice place, we haven't stayed there since 2000 though and I think I heard it was being refurbished so it should be different.
18th - Drive down
19th - Magic Kingdom, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!! We haven't done this since 2001 and we had so much fun. Christmas is my favorite holiday ( I do love Halloween though...) and I remember this was very festive and fun.
20th - MGM (It will always be that for me)
21st - Epcot, our absolute favorite. We really want to do the behind the scenes of living with the land. I'm really interested in all of that so that would be pretty cool to do, I've heard it's not too expensive either.
22nd - Go home.
Not after eating at kona's though...
I may be able to get out of school a couple days before this, so if we do we plan on going down the day I get out and staying off the resort if we have to and doing the outlets. I also really really want to do the Grand Tea, that seems like a lot of fun. And I want to shop at DtD.
I'm a strict vegetarian (not a vegan though, but no gelatin, fish, broths, anything, I'm a real veg) and my mom had lap-band surgery last year and eats mostly veg with me unless there's salmon, which she loves. So we'll probably share a lot. I've already made all of my reservations and I can't wait!
