Can't specify children in online ADRs anymore - does it matter?

When I initially made ADRs a couple of months ago, it asked you to specify children and their ages. I had to re-do a couple of them yesterday, and there was no place to specify number of children or their ages. The confirmation screen just says how many adults. Does this matter at all?

It does not matter.

(Except for CRT and shows, but it will ask for ages of children when booking them)

For the ADR, all they care about it how many places your party needs, so all they ask for us number of people (adults, children, infants, combined)

When you go to pay, they'll sort out adults/children etc.

But does it show the right total # of people? From the OP's post, it sounded like the children were now omitted (e.g., now says 2 instead of 4) when they said it just "shows the number of adults". Because you need to make sure your reservation is for the right # of seats for the table.

Sorry, no. It states the correct number of people, but no longer states number of children and adults. My older ADRs state 6 adults, 2 children. The newer ones say 8 adults, and there is no way to specify the number of children.

I had some ADRs on our recent trip from before they made this change and some from after. The only difference is that when I checked in for the reservations I made under the new system, the CM would say, "So you have 4 adults?" and I'd have to say, "No. 2 adults, 2 children." And then they would ask for the ages of the children.

Thanks. It sounds like this is just a change in the system, then, so it shouldn't be an issue.
