Just came back on Friday and I still can't seem to get it together. :sad2: We were at WDW for 7 days and had a blast  . Now after being home, I am blah, tired and depressed. :sad2: I wasn't like this on vacation. I think I am missing WDW too much. :sad2: Anyone else feel this way?

I always feel like that after trips to WDW - vacations are great!

To help get out of the "post vacation" slump....just start planning your next one...will instantly give you something to look forward to!

::yes:: :shamrock: :goodvibes Feel blue when I get back form my WDW vacation,I always start planning another to make them go away. :goodvibes

My husband said a similar thing to me last night on our way back to the real world. He compared it to getting off a great ride when you have a fast pass for another...having another trip planned is like having a fast pass in your pocket. I like the comparison...

We are going in just a few days and I am worried about how we will all be "post" Disney.... for the last 7 months we have pulled together planning and counting down.... we have already started talking about the next trip... I read in another post that you shouldn't be sad to leave you should be happy that you were there. I hope that gets us through! The done with Disney blues, Suck :sad2:

What a great thought. Now, if I could only get all the laundry sorted from my last vacation instead of chatting online...

I really can sympathize with you! I go through the same thing when we get back! :sad2:

Phew! Glad I'm not the only one. We recently got back from our first family trip to WDW (went once w/ DH and a few times as a kid) and I was SHOCKED at the post-Disney depression! I was really down for about a week and then spent several weeks thinking about nothing but how to get back to Disney World next year. We've been home about 2 months now and I still read trip reports every day

I definitely sympathize with the OP! I still feel the post-Disney funk a month out. Scrapbooking my trip is helping though. As for planning another trip I know it will be a long while before I can afford another trip and I am planning to move/switch jobs next year so that will be chaotic too, so what am I doing? Shooting for the moon and planning for a trip in 2008!! Hehe! I want to stay at the AKL, so I need the saving time. Hope the AKL is still there in 3 years! hehe!

Wish I had some new suggestions to help!

I got back May 1, from an awesome 8 nights at the World. Since then all I can think about is how I can get back there. We don't have any specific plans for a future trip. My mom keeps saying, "Don't worry we'll go back", but the soonest they'll have enough DVC points for a trip is 2007, and with me starting college I'll be on a totally different vacation schedule. They might be able to go back, but we dont know yet whether I'll be able to. I'm trying to figure out a way to get back there not with family but first I have to find a friend or two that A) wants to go, and B) can afford to go. The fact that I've seen what people are getting for AAA rates (I'm a member) for January at a value resort is making me want to go back even more; it's not a bad price at all, and January I don't go back to school until MLK day, which means I'll be alone in the house for 2 weeks while the rest of my family (including my teacher mom) are at school. Kind of depressing thoughts. I know I should be fortunate to have gone, but I just can't get out of this slump.

LOL
I was going to commiserate with the OP... and also say planning another trip makes it a little better. I had the blahs after our last trip.. never seems long enough. I didn't want to wash clothes/everyday mundane stuff for a few days. I was kinda tired too- it's tiresome and stressful to travel there for 10 days with 3 kids by yourself! Fun yes... but still those other things too. They didn't catch up to me until I got home though. LOL

It's fun to plan a trip even if it's years in the future!

Yup, Upon my return to the "real world" last year I had it BAAAAAAAAAAD...Then returned to work and was laid off with a whole bunch of other people!!!! AGGGGHHHHHH :sad2:

Anyhow....got another job..which is the BEST one I ever had...and We are going back this year...this month....IN 3 WEEKS!!!!!!

PLAN YOUR NEXT TRIP Upon Return!

Start writing your trip report! Then you'll always have it to read over and over. Also, start planning your next trip. :)

or take on some other project that gives you pleasure. I also suffered from "Disneyworld Withdrawl" after our 2003 trip. I had spent 1.5 years researching and planning every detail. The trip was fantastic and coming home was certainly a let-down to say the least. Well, I had the attic bedroom of my 2 oldest sons to plan followed by the "princess" bedroom of my long awaited DD. I transfered my disney planning need to bedroom planning and it helped a lot. Instead of hours on the DIS I spent hours on the net looking a wallpaper and decorating websites. The void was filled and it got me over the withdrawl period.
Writing this made me realize that I'd better start thinking of a project to throw myself into when we come home from this coming Sept trip...........................

The only way I can get it together after a Disney vacation is by planning another one!!!!
