Can't print on light transfer paper

My Lexmark ink jet printer is driving me nuts!

It won't pick up the light transfer paper. It printed all my dark transfers fine. I've tried two brands of light paper and it won't pick it up. It has in the past. And it will pick it up if it's wrong side up (don't ask me how I know! )

Any ideas?

I had something similar happen to me with magnetic paper. I think the problem was the curve that the paper seemed to have. I solved it by running the sheet along my desk edge in the opposite direction very gently to take the "curve" out and it worked like a dream. Maybe you could try it and see if it works for you as well.
