Can't make ADR's past 1/25 - anyone else?

I called yesterday to make some ADRs for our trip on January 24 - 29. I had no trouble with the ADR on Jan. 24, but the CM told me I couldn't make ADRs for the 25th or beyond. She wasn't much help with explaining why or when I would be able to.

Does anyone know what is going on?

Disney is temporarily moving to a 90 ADR window for most of the restaurants (few exceptions like CRT and Chef Mickey's and some others) while they upgrade their reservation computer system.

I haven't been paying much attention to the details because it didn't impact my trip, but as you found out the latest you can currently book for is that day in late January. For the days after that, you will have to wait for 90 days out, I believe.

Not sure why the CM couldn't explain it. Doesn't he/she read the DIS?

NEW DINING RESERVATION SYSTEM IN THE WORKS

Disney will begin implementing a new reservation system that combines dining, recreation and tour bookings.

The conversion will start on July 21, 2008 and is expected to be functioning on October 24. While this is taking place, the latest dining reservation date which can be booked in advance is January 25, 2009. Once the new system is operating, it will revert to the 180 day Advance Dining Reservation window.

The exceptions to the shortened ADR booking window are Cinderella's Royal Table, Chef Mickey's and Victoria & Albert's.

I have a trip planned in April....So I should call Oct. 24th when it reverts back to 180 days??? That's gonna be one busy day for the CM's taking ADR's by phone...

I think I had read on this board somewhere that you will be able to make ADRs on-line once the system upgrade is complete. If true, that will be GREAT!!!

We arrive on 1/21 I was able to make my reservations up to my departure day which is the 25th

I'm going in February and doing Chef Mickey and CRT for that week so my 180 days is coming up soon, then I'll just have to wait to do the others. That will be cool once it's all online!
