Can't log on to vmk-HELP!

I rebooted-nil,I'm going crazy! Sorry to keep asking but do you have any other ideas-Thank you you have been so helpful!

I had the same problem for almost a month. One day I pushed Control while pushing the log in button....it worked!

I tried to log in normally the next time and returned to the black screen madness. I did my control button trick again and it worked everytime I tried.

I did all the cookie, uninstall, etc things and nothing worked, but this did.

It could be just a fluke, but worth a try. Good luck.

I've also been having this EXACT same problem since last week. Did the whole uninstall, install, etc., etc. Couldn't get VMK to work on either Firefox or IE. I also went so far as to do a clean up of my hard drives.

I just now followed monkey's instructions, deleted all the cct files, and IT WORKED! Thanks bunches Monkey.....here's a lovely bunch of bananas just for you!

Me thinks this solution is sticky-worthy

When you are uninstalling Shockwave are you doing it from Add/remove programs?

Try the uninstall on the Adobe site it gets rid of ALMOST everything so you can start fresh.
After you uninstall reboot your computer and go back to Adobe and reinstall a fresh instance of Shockwave.



To get the uninstaller, click the link below and save the file to your hard drive:

Once the file has finished downloading, double-click it to uninstall Shockwave. The uninstaller will work for Shockwave Player version 6 and higher.

I deleted the 30,927 .cct files. They went into the recycle bin. Should I delete them from there? Thx for the help. BTW I am back on vmk too. Woot. It has been almost two weeks since I could use this computer. Thanks for all the help. I used all the suggestions.

Yes, definitely remove them from your recycle bin. They are trash. Yucky broken trash.

Im not exactly sure what finally worked-I tried everything but the control button suggestion finally got me back on so hopefully I'm cured! Thanks to all!

i have been trying everyday for the past five days, and everytime i click the button that says 'Play Now!' it does NOTHING AT ALL. i really want to get on because it is the last few weeks of vmk, so it is kinda important to me

try going right to the log in screen instead of going to vmk.com first here is the link for the log in screen..

That or if you go to VMK's site map and click Log In it will give you the screen to log in and play.
