[The Sweetness]

DD (11) got her mid term progress report today. If she can bring up her math grade just a little, she will make the honnor roll at school. I know that this isnt the least bit unusual, but it is very special for us. She has ADD and is always struggling to focus her attention. Im so proud of her I could burst. I only wish that I could offer her a propper reward if she makes it. I just explained to her that we are spending 2K on the vaca that we are muchly looking forward to, and the only thing I can offer her is an afternoon at the movies or ice skating arena. She understands that our budget is tight, and knows that DH and I are proud of her, even if we cant afford expensive rewards

That is great news. More than likely just knowing that her parents are extremely proud of her, is the best reward in the world. Give her a big hug from me.

That's great!! I'm sure your words were reward enough.... most of us don't tell our kids often enough how proud we are of them.... I know we don't. I'm gonna work on that!

I wish your daughter lotsa luck getting honor roll. I used to have ADHD too. So I know what it was like. I have come a long way myself. I got honor roll in High School one semester. So I sense nothing but good things for your daughter.
