Can't get through to DD - are we doomed?

DH and I started calling at 7 am this morning. An hour and 15 minutes later, still waiting. My battery died and I have to get ready for work now. I never had trouble getting through like this before I know we'll be fine for most things but I'm thinking Le Cellier and the princess breakfast are long gone.

Unless you are doing LeCellier and/or CRT on your arrival day you'll be fine. Just call every day up until the 180 days from the date you're dining there.

That's what I thought too....until I tried to make my ADRs for the first week in December last week. Not only could I not get Le Cellier, but my second choice WS restaurant only had a ridiculously early dinner time (dinner before 4 p.m. ). I got two of the other restaurants we wanted but the times were way off from what we'd hoped for. (we also kept calling back for LC up to the 180 days and still no dice)

Remember that your 180days could be someone elses 170days so there is a chance you wont get what you want but don't give up hope. I've heard they release additional space at various times (no set pattern sorry) but if you can't get somewhere you should try phoning back at other significant milestones such as 150days, 120day, 90days etc

I think you will be fine as long as you are not stuck to a specific time on a specific date. But even then I think you are fine calling after 7am. I am not staying at a Disney resort but I am staying 14 days so I have been calling every morning or afternoon for my 180 day mark in December. SL...ooooo.....w...ll...yyy making my ADrs! BUt I have gotten everything I've wanted on the date and within 15 minutes of the time I requested, and this is for a party of 6! I did not try for LC but I did get CRT!

Called this morning at 8:30. Was on hold for about 20 minutes.

Got a reservation for 6/17 at 2:50 at Le Cellier.

Got a reservation for 6/22 at 2:20 at Crystal Pallace.

This was the only lunch reservation they had at Le Cellier for the entire week.

DH finally got through and we got everything but Le Cellier. The CM said there were no dinner reservations left for the whole week but told dh which day to call back for the night we want. So we'll cross our fingers and hope she was right!

Today was our 180 day mark and things 184 and 185 days our were already booked. We got none of the ADR's we wanted!

I was so disappointed. If I could cancel our entire grand gathering I would!

We called & booked the CRT breakfast the day before we left for our trip. Someone had backed out and cancelled so we lucked out-HOORAY FOR US-WE LOVED IT Also, while on vacation staying at the GF resort, we decided for breakfast one morning when we hadn't planned for a sitdown breakfast and walked to the 1900 Park Fare @ our resort at breakfast and asked at the podium if there was any availability and they had an opening-AGAIN, HOORAY for US That was a fun and good breakfast too. Lastly, one morning we were scheduled for Kona Cafe and I decided to try for something else so I called from my resort room and cancelled the Kona and was able to get an opening for Chef Mickey's which I wasn't able to get before we left for vacation so keep trying. People cancel all the time. Don't sweat it and go have fun

Keep trying back, they always hold some tables to release at exactly 180 days.

Also, being a grand gathering, I thought you had an extra line to use, something for just GG's that had more availability for large groups. Have you tried that?

I am going to try at 6:55AM tomorrow as that will be the 180 mark for the day we want LeCellier and hope that something opens up but we really want the CP package so I am stuck calling and calling until that opens up anyway!

I tried the Grand Gathering number for the "experiences" and then they would shift me to Group Reservations for any ADR that was not considered an "experience" and was more than 8 people.

For example the GG Safari Supper was considered an "experience". By the time they got done taking my information and telling me that my GG # would arrive by email in a few days, the opening that was there was gone!

I really thought also that they had a system in place to help people like us with a family group but it seems to not work well at all!
