Cant get reservations now what?

Load the My Disney Experience app on your phone, and check for openings starting about 2-3 days before you want to go. You'll likely be able to book BOG without an issue. I doubt you'll get CRT, but anything is possible.

Probably is that for me too. I'm noise hypersensitive and if I'm overwhelmed with noise, I interpret my physical environment negatively too sometimes.

Earplugs can be your friend. :)

Amazing how much calmer Disney is once you've turned down the volume.

Are we able to still go and walk in and hopefully not wait too long. Thinking about Be our Guest and Cinderella Royal Table.

1) Nope.
2) Nada.
3) These are not places that allow you to enter and walk around.
4) You MUST have an ADR.
5) Can you imagine the confusion and crowds if anyone could enter without paying?

6) As far as walk-in seating to eat, both are usually already sold out or over sold, and the chances are slim.
7) Simply make you ADR if you want to eat at these places.
8) People claim the can't get a ressie - well, that is because they are so popular and they waited too long to book the ADR.
9) For popular places, you need to book quickly . . . if you snooze, you lose.

Can you call to be put onto a waiting list or just keep checking back?

Can you call to be put onto a waiting list or just keep checking back?

1) As mentioned, there are no waiting lists, except for V&A.
2) Can you imagine how long the list would be for some eateries?
. . . people could/would put their name on multiple lists
. . . they would hope they could get in anywhere
. . . this would just clog the system
3) Then, in the event of a cancellation,
. . . Then, if there is a cancellation, someone (or an auto-dialer) has to start calling each phone number.
. . . If they don't answer, the next person is called.
. . . Now, how angered would people be because they didn't answer the phone and someone else got the ADR?
. . . Or, if they do make contact, it could be a "ghost" request and the person never intended upon the ADR.
. . . It would be a logistical and PR disaster.
4) So, the option is to just keep checking for an open ADR.

You could also follow the cancellation thread for the month you're going. I got a BOG dinner reservation for my trip last year using this method.

Ha! Yes it was! (What's ADR?) It was great and easy. The trick was to get in line at 10:45, then walk right in when they opened at 11. We did it 3-4 times since they opened. If that is no longer a possibility, then I'll just skip it altogether. In my opinion, the rooms are so big that it feels like a college cafeteria in there...
We were AP holders the year it opened and went several times. We were NEVER able to get in line at 10:45 and walk right in. The line was over an hour wait at that point every time we were there, even slower times, so I think you got INCREDIBLY lucky if you were able to waltz right in at 10:45.

ETA: we have had good success with the touring plans reservation finder. We got a Le Cellier and A Be Our Guest dinner this way.

This may be cutting it close, but I would do what has worked for me in the past. Go to the hotel concierge (providing of course you are staying on Disney property) in the morning, and see if there are any openings for either of these locations. If not ask for a next day resie. Do this every morning. I have always been able to secure a reservation doing this. Good luck.

We were able to get in several times at lunch on our visits also. Luck had nothing to do with it. We waited in line early (and no, it wasn't an hour either) and went in as soon as they opened. We get ressies for lunch now, but not our first several visits.

Exactly. Like most of us here know, having fun at WDW is all about strategy and knowing when to do what.

You have to admit sometimes we are VERY GOOD at what we do "behind the desk".

I had no clue what an "ADR" was, although I expected that the "R" had something to do with "reservation." I can't (and don't care to) follow most of the acronyms here. This site has it's own language. :duck: We've made plenty of dining reservations at WDW, and have a few at Disneyland next month...

It's a shame that you can't "walk in" to more restaurants in the Parks. I hate the fact that almost everywhere needs advance reservations now.
Don't get hung up on the word advanced. That can mean just 1 hour before you wan to eat. Doesn't have to be 180 days. We never book reservations more than a day in advance and usually it's that morning when on the bus to the park. We don't go hungry, I promise. Folks tend to think that you need to book so far in advance and really, it's not necessary. I bet nearly 100% of the locations on property can be found day before if you look regularly.

Keep checking. I always get my best reservations one week out, and the day of. CRT is a bit harder because of the pre-pay, but a BOG will likely pop up for you.
