I've spent the last few days trying to book a reservation on the Disney website with a room for seven nights, a one day basic ticket, and the dining plan so I can use tickets left over from many previous trips. The Disney website returns the following error:
Sorry, but we weren't able to update your offer at this time. You might want to try updating your preferences in the "What you've told us" section and Re-Submit.
I was hoping to use this reservation instead of the one I already have with a 7 day ticket. When I called the Walt Disney Travel company, they could not change the existing reservation to a one-day basic ticket although they could create a new reservation with a one day ticket...so we did that (saved $860 to use tickets I already have).
Further, I have two reservations for a 2 night trip in September that I wanted to do the same thing...It saves $600 on each reservation to go from 3-day park hoppers to 1-day basic ticket. When I called WD Travel, they had to put me on hold for 10 minutes on each reservation while they called Guest Services to make the switch.
Do you think they are going to prevent us from creating reservations like this or they are just having system troubles? I decided to make these changes after having each of our old tickets read by Guest Services at DTD and determined I have almost 30 park days remaining on 12 or so tickets and about that many plus days. I figured I better use them while my kids are young (11 and 8) and still want to go to Disney.
Thanks for listening. Sorry about the run-on sentences.
